Want kids to be healthy eaters? The words you use at the table have a big influence on them The secret to healthy eating is through the power of words and the magic of connection. It’s about rethinking the usual sorting of food using terms like “healthy” and “unhealthy”. It’s looking beyond the plate to the relationship we have with food.

Since new year my IG feed is full of exercise routines, contouring, weight loss tips, meal prep ideas, skin pumping, fluffing and rolling….. and it’s annoying me!! It's actually beyond annoying. I'm not enjoying it at all.

Sure, some messages aim to motivate me to be healthy (or ) but the quantity of these messages I am seeing is not healthy! It's not balanced. It's not helpful.

I can only imagine how the monsoon of stereotyped beauty, photoshopped perfection and advertising would have affected me as a tween or teen. They are the most marketed to generation that has ever existed, and we must stand between and the money making tactics that drive the online world.

I'm currently spending a lot of time refining my newsfeed. Not sure how it got out of control so quickly. I've lost touch with some of my favs I used to follow! I'm once again reminded that if I don't control tech, it's sure to control me. Please help your tweens and teens do the same as much as you can. Their newsfeed should ideally be sunshine (not a hailstorm)!
