We opened our national Customer Contact Centre at our head office in Padstow, Sydney — and it's still operating today, with over 170 dedicated consultants serving our customers!

Let's throw it back to the 1970s, a game-changing decade for us. It was then that we became part of the Belron Group, now the world's leader in vehicle glass repair, replacement, and recalibration, that now operates in over 39 countries. 🚗🌏

The 350-strong team soon grew as the company expanded, now under two divisions: Windscreens O'Brien and O'Brien Glass. We stepped up our manufacturing capabilities at our HQ in Padstow, Sydney, specialising in the manufacturing of laminated windscreens, as well as architectural laminates. 💪🌟

The SES is advising people across the north of the state to be prepared for potential windy conditions forecast over the next 48 hours.

We’re working closely with the Bureau of Meteorology to monitor and prepare for the forecast conditions.

Potential high winds are forecast in the area of the North Coast and snow to low levels is also expected in the south over the next 48 hours.

People should be proactive and prepare their properties which includes tying down loose items such as outdoor furniture and play equipment.

The public need to monitor the SES and BOM websites to remain aware of severe weather warnings as they arise.

Motorists should remain alert for potential hazards including fallen trees and to delay non essential travel where possible during periods of high winds.

Motorists are also urged to be patient and prepare for potential traffic delays if emergency services and other agencies such as TasNetworks are responding to fallen trees and other potential hazards.

SES advises that precautions should include:

⚠️Drive to the conditions – if you don’t need to drive, preferably stay indoors

⚠️ Secure outdoor items including furniture and play equipment (i.e. trampolines are a frequent issue in high winds)

⚠️ Check that family and neighbours are aware of warnings

⚠️ Be prepared in case of power outages

⚠️ Beware of damaged trees and power lines and take care when driving

⚠️ Listen to the ABC radio or check www.ses.tas.gov.au for further advice.
Additionally, stay abreast of road closures by monitoring the Tasmania Police website or by calling 131 444

Ice is back, and the roads are... slippery!

Here's some tips to help you stay safe:
❄️ Drive at a speed that allows plenty of time to stop quickly and safely, and never over the limit.
❄️ Be aware the roads may be slippery and you could be driving on ice (and black ice, which is almost invisible!) so drive accordingly.
❄️ Leave plenty of space between your vehicle and the vehicle ahead – four seconds at least in poor conditions.
❄️ Drive with headlights on when visibility is poor.
❄️ Pay attention to road warning signs about hazardous conditions.

Changes have been announced to the requirement to wear a face mask in retail settings.

From 12.01 am Saturday 5 March you will no longer be required to wear a face mask in retail settings when you are a customer. Staff working in these settings will continue to be required to wear masks for business continuity.

This means you do not need to wear a mask as a customer when:
• at the supermarket
• in shopping centres and retail stores
• collecting groceries/purchases from retail stores.

Face masks continue should continue to be worn in all other required indoor settings such as at work, in cafes/restaurants/food courts, when visiting personal care services and at events at this time.

If you receive a positive result from either a RAT or PCR test, you must immediately isolate and continue your recovery at home.

You must also tell your close and casual contacts and workplace or education facility that you have tested positive to COVID-19.

Most patients whose symptoms have resolved or who had no symptoms can leave isolation 7 days after testing positive.

Extra support with meeting isolation requirements is possible if you need it. If you become quite unwell, you may be treated in hospital.

During your recovery, help is available from your regular doctor or the COVID@home program. If your symptoms get worse or you feel it is an emergency, call 000 or go to hospital.
