I loved participating at the today. My neuro-training talk was a huge hit; I received a lot of great questions from the audience and did a demo of a challenging yoga pose before and after neuro-training. How awesome to reach new people and share the neuro-training goodness with them.

Yesterday I had a chat with a regular yoga practitioner whose neck felt stiff after swimming. She had already done the pelvic and neck reset sequences from yoga to straighten out any potential misalignments in the spine. There was still residue stiffness in the neck. I asked her to rub these two points where the strap meets the top/dress for a minimum of 30s or if the points are sore/tender until the sensations ease. Her neck was back to normal with that quick fix. Try this next time your neck feels stiff and leave a comment on how you go 🙏🏼

My 5yo yoga teacher described the human energy field exactly as seen in the second image (I haven’t shown her any images). She referred to it as light rather than energy.
She then also listed everyone we know and the size of their light. At the end of her little lecture she said “mum, let’s put our lights together. I’ll show you how.” Speechless.
Our up-coming adjusting workshop is designed for yoga teachers and yoga teacher trainees. This practical workshop will teach you how to give effective verbal and safe hands-on adjustments of common yoga asanas. Come and immerse yourself in the subtle art of adjusting to deepen your yoga teaching and to build your confidence through hands-on exercises.
This workshop will cover:

🧘🏼♀️different forms of adjusting
🧘🏼♀️alignments and typical misalignments of basic poses
🧘🏼♀️verbal adjustments, resistance adjustments and other hands-on adjustments of common yoga poses
You will learn to observe the pose to decide what needs to be adjusted - and how - and have the opportunity to assist your fellow students in common yoga poses. The session will accumulate 6 points in your Continuous Professional Development with Yoga Australia.

Did you know that people react differently to seasonal changes and especially to cold weather?
If you’re the leaner body type (and tend to lose weight when you’re stressed) then you probably also tend to feel the “cold in your bones” and your body spends most of its energy on staying warm first and foremost. This leaves you with less energy for anything more productive like recuperating or feeling energised.
Rug up, sit in front of your heater and grab a warm drink. ☕️

FRONT BODY
Think about this for a moment. Our chair culture makes the front body “short” in the thighs and hips (as the hips are constantly flexed). This easily “lengthens” the abs as a result. Add gravity pulling shoulders forward and down and we have three different imbalances in the front body.

❌Short pecs
We did a class to combat exactly that at the this week. Same class arriving in virtual studio.
