Happy New Year. It's been way too long since our last share. Look out; here comes a whole lot of happy photos of people having a whole lot of fun!

Due to the current Optus network crash, we are not able to receive any calls or texts at this time. Hopefully the issue will be fixed soon.

What a month July has been! Peter spent a week in Caloundra, Brooke went on a Cruise, Marc and Fee got upto their usual crazy fun, Natasha celebrated her little man's 3rd birthday, Bj saw Disney on Ice and all the Glimmer family have been busy living their best lives. Looking through all these photos just fills me with happiness. This is what we are all about. Thankyou to all the Glimmer team for making these moments possible and to all our participants for allowing us to share these moments with you! Woohoo! Life is good.

On this International Women's Day, we celebrate the amazing women in our lives. Glimmer is so lucky to have so many talented, intelligent, beautiful, kind and brilliant women as part of our family. Happy International Women's day!

Brooke's keeping cool today!! What a wonderful way to start the week.

Biggest ever Dophins fan Jeff, got to not only go to their debt game where they won against the Roosters this weekend, but also have breakfast with some of the team members. What an amazing experince! Go the Dolphins!!

Marc and Fee have been getting up to mischief again! Look at those smiles. And we can't express how much we love The Flourish Connection and we are so glad to work alongside such a wonderful group to provide a magical place for participants to hang out for the day! Well Ed Sheeran put on an amazing proformance and we were so lucky to share it with so many friends. What an amazing night with Michelle, Tanika, Jayden, Angie and Julie joining BJ and Natasha in Brisbane for the concert last night, and on Ed's birthday too! After a bit of a sleep in BJ and Natasha continued their Brisbane respite with a day at South Bank; cooling off with Icecreams and a swim before hitting the markets for some retail therapy. Such a brilliant couple of days so far full of fun, laughs and adventure!

Brooke went on a mission over the holidays to find the perfect outfit to wear when she spends time with Mel and her beautiful horse Penny, doesn't Brooke look amazing! Hee Haa cowgirl!!! 👩‍🌾🐎

Have you heard about Cérge yet? It's a cool app that lets listed business know youre on your way and if you need anything to make your visit more accessable and inclusive. Examples might include if you need music turned off to make it less noisy, if you need a large space to fit a wheelchair when you go out to lunch or more time to order a meal because you want to be independent. "I was excited to go to the Nambour Aquatic Centre however I'm always nervous regarding access and working equipment especially when needing to do transfers out of my wheelchair as I don't like unexpected issues. But today I used Cérge and it was great. On arrival staff were great and very friendly because they knew I was coming. They informed me that there was an issue with the pool which meant it would be closed for a while. I came up with alternative things to do at the pool including a play in the new splash zone using the facilities pool chair and having a cup of tea from the cafe, while waiting and the staff kept me informed on progress of reopening at all times making me feel calm in knowing what was happening at all times. Once the pool was reopened I was able to go for a swim. I used the pool hoist to enter and exit the pool with help from my support workers. The changing facilities had a high-low bed change table which is great as I must lay down to get dressed and so this means alot. I would love to see a hoist put into the change room as manual handling to move between my shower chair to the change table and back to my wheelchair without one is hard but everything else with the equipment was great. Overall a good experince and even though something went wrong, staff supported me until it could be fixed and I had a wonderful time. Looking forward to regular visits and the Cerge app makes it all so much more easier and enjoyable knowing I'll be looked after"

Far too much fun was had yesterday at our Annual Glimmer Christmas Lunch party. Thanks to Club Kawana for having us. Peter, Miles and Marc showed us their groovy dance moves with Emma, Bj loved opening her presents, especially the beautiful framed photo collage Natasha made for her and Tash and Naomi were double trouble as always ;) Jeff dropped in after a round of indoor golf and everyone enjoyed spending the afternoon dry and out of the crazy weather with yummy food, great music and wonderful company. Thanks to Fiona, Lucy, Heidi, Peter, Deb, Sally and Jess - part of our wonderful support team, for coming along and making it all fun!

Peter was busy at work yesterday. Always working so hard Pete! You missed a spot 😜
