Young Kinship Carer Project

Recently Minister Luke Donnellan issued a press release dated 23rd April, in which was stated:
'All Foster and Kinship Carers will receive a one off payment of $600- for every child they care for, as part of the Victorian Government support package for some of our state's most-in-need children and families.'

Further Luke Donnellan quoted
'Every day, our foster and kinship carers provide the most amazing support to our children and young people.
Now it's our turn to support them.'

But now only those carers on current court orders are eligible for this payment.
Those carers who have a permanent care order and informal carers (without child protection involvement) ARE NOT eligible for this much needed financial assistance.

Minister Luke Donnellan ALL kinship carers means ALL kinship carers and not just those carers on current court orders.
