Aria is an 11 year old singer, dancer & actor who began dancing and performing at the age of 3. She starred in her first professional musical last year “Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” (TML), “Soul Trading” (ATYP) and short film “Bear Beer”. She has also done some modelling for Marlo Kids and Apple, as well as a commercial for Healtheries.

Thought I’d start the year off with some student spotlights.. but first let me introduce myself 🧡
Hi! I’m Prudence Holloway and I’ve been teaching singing for the last 15 years (I know I look so young). I graduated from The Victorian College of the Arts and have done further study at The Sydney Conservationium.
I’ve worked professionally for the last 20 year and done a bit of acting, singing and when forced, dancing.
I’m passionate about technique, musical theatre, mindfulness, mentoring performers and myth busting (“no you don’t breathe FROM your diaphragm”) but mostly combining all of this to prepare students for the industry.
I specialise in young voices but yes, I do teach adults 🙂

5 days and counting until my first performance back after covid, having a baby and having my life turned upside down!
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous and freaking out but I keep reminding myself what I say to my students
✔️ You’ve done the work now enjoy the moment
✔️ You don’t need to compare yourself to anyone, you are the only person that can do what you do
✔️ And ultimately, you can’t control other people’s opinions of you but you can choose to have fun 🤞🏻

Prudence Holloway is a highly skilled & sought after Young Voice Specialist who teaches pre-professional and professional singers. Having studied at The Victorian College of the Arts and completed post-graduate study at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and now working at NIDA, Prudence understands what it takes to be successful in professional singing roles.
Prudence’s teaching is strongly informed by evidence based techniques with particular attention to correct breathing, vocal health, singing free of tension and safe belting. Concentrating on the fundamentals of technique and applying them across a range of genres, Prudence combines awareness and mindfulness to create a more holistic experience. This approach expertly prepares her students for a professional singing future, giving them the technical foundation and the resilience to pursue their dreams
Having taught from her studio in Broadway for 8 years as well as in acting institutions across Sydney, Prudence has seen many of her students go on to secure places in prestigious educational institutions including NIDA, WAPPA, Central School & VCA. Students have been cast in lead roles in many professional musicals, including: The King and I, The Lion King, School of Rock, Beautiful, Aladdin and the title role in Matilda – The Musical. Prudence has consulted on Kinky Boots for one of the younger cast members and also prepares students for audition entry into the Newtown Performing Arts High School.
