When I fell pregnant, I couldn’t tell the difference between a placenta and an amniotic sac. Also, I was in a compromised mental state due to the difficulties at work. So, it was obvious to me that I needed a proper knowledge upgrade and a moral support for the birth.
Kathryn as a doula gratefully provided these to me in a very confident and comforting way. She perfectly completed the team of midwives and doctors at the hospital and together they made my birthing experience positive regardless of the divergence from my birth plan.
I’m also glad that Kathryn visited us at home after birth. A long relaxed conversation with a doula is just a superior way of learning how to manage a newborn rather than googling or bothering your more experienced girlfriends with every little question.
I will call Kathryn again if Freddy gets to have a younger brother or sister in the future.

I first engaged Kathryn mid-way through my pregnancy to discuss placenta encapsulation and the plan around how it all works. During our chat I found her to be knowledgeable and warm and we also discussed her possibly being my doula.
Unfortunately, my hospital would only allow 1 support person during my labour so I chose my husband however, covid permitting, I will be engaging with Kathryn to be my doula for my next baby.
Once I gave birth, Kathryn was so very prompt in picking up my placenta from the hospital and had it encapsulated and returned to me within 24 hours, she advised the recommend dosage and I began.
During my birth I haemorrhaged and also had a high level of postpartum bleeding and I truly believe my high energy levels were directly related to Kathryn’s care of my placenta.
I highly recommend Kathryn to anyone who is considering placenta encapsulation and also truly believe she will be a great doula to me in the future.
