“I don’t have a very long, complicated story to share, and to be honest, I’m glad that this is the case. Everything from pregnancy to birth went as smooth as possible and as perfect as I could ask for.

I found out about the MGP way before getting pregnant, through a friend, since then I knew that’s what I wanted. I wanted one supportive midwife all the way through my pregnancy, I wanted a natural, intervention free birth and be able to breastfeed. (Almost) all of that came through!

The day I met Jima, my midwife, I felt instant joy, excitement and relief - I felt like I found my perfect match. Jima was nothing but an absolute star, the most lovely, caring, and helpful midwife I could ever ask for.

I was petrified about the idea of giving birth, it seemed way beyond what I could handle. My husband and I attended to Kaia Birth classes, after the class, I felt so empowered and confident about birth and how we, as women, were made for this.

I’ve develop Cholestasis around 37 weeks of pregnancy, which meant I needed to be induced for the safety of my baby. At 38+5 weeks at 6am I was induced, active labour started around 12pm and at 3:14pm I was holding our baby boy in my arms.

I am still in awe that I was able to have a natural water birth with no pain relief, I also feel super lucky that my active labour only lasted 3 hours (although, at the time, it did felt like an eternity).

I couldn’t have done it without the support of Jima, my amazing husband and the constant playbacks in my mind of the Kaia Birth classes guiding me through it.

I am beyond grateful to the MGP, Jima, Kaia Birth and all the other amazing midwifes that help me in this journey.”

Kiara’s third baby boy 💙

Funny story, Kiara and I met at the park during covid chasing our toddlers and getting some fresh air amongst the unknown back in 2022. I was pregnant with Pania at the time, we made contact and she came over and did some beautiful maternity photos for me! 📸

So I was very excited when she announced her third baby was on the way and her and Shane wanted to come to Kaia Birth in preparation for a beautiful birth.

Each birth was so different for them, their first two labours came naturally and this baby sitting comfortably at 40 weeks and 6 days.

Here’s the story of her tremendous journey and birth.

The birth of baby JUDE 🤎 🌈

Another incredible birth story that’ll have you on the edge of your seat. After 41 weeks of pregnancy, Rachelle welcomes her sweet baby boy. With the support of her hubby Daniel and her warrior within.

I’m so lucky to have such a wonderful relationship with the Blacktown Hospital Midwifery Group Practice Midwives.

I’ll be honest, I do a little happy dance when I see a booking comes through and it says they’re under the care of the MGP team! It makes such an amazing difference to have the support of a midwife throughout the entire journey including birth and postpartum.

I supported a couple yesterday through their induction birth alongside their MGP midwife Alanna, it was such a beautiful and empowering experience to be apart of!

I also ran into midwife Kelly who had just had a Kaia couple birth the night prior. Super wholesome hearing how the midwife’s can see such a difference in couples who’ve attended
