The Heavy Cricket Ball was founded by like-minded fast bowling enthusiasts, eager to share the secret of gaining that extra bit of speed in their pace bowling and to help players discover this vital tool they are missing out on throughout the world.
Which International Fast Bowler Used Heavy Balls to increase speed? π¨ Thatβs right, Shoaib Akhtar!(known for the fastest delivery til date 161.3 kmph)π₯
You can't bowl fast without a healthy and strong shoulder. If you have bowled for a long session combined with fielding (throwing), you would notice the feeling of soreness from the repetitive shoulder movements throughout the day.
To stop that from becoming an injury in the future, you will need to do some preventative exercises beyond just heading to the nets and having a bowl.
Working on your muscles in and around your shoulders is key to keeping them strong.
Ways to achieve shoulder strength -
β Band work can be used to increase strength and flexibility in your shoulders.
β The heavy cricket ball allows you to go through your bowling action while simultaneously replicating a gym session where you focus on working out on your shoulder muscles.
Try these out and see how you feel! remember, it's the little things that matter so stay consistent and keep grinding πͺ
π Running/Sprinting π
A major part of fast bowling is working on your running and sprinting technique. Getting your knees high, chest and head facing forward will allow you to exert maximum force straight towards the target i.e the batsmen.
You can practice this by simply going to a park, marking out a 20 metre distance and just going through some sprints mainly focusing on technique rather than speed.
Doing this exercise will allow you to get more rhythm and force into your bowling while enabling you to hit your optimum running speed before you let go of the ballπ₯
Want to Bowl Faster? π₯βοΈ
Try using our pace enhancement aid, a 300 gram weighted ball which works on your specific shoulder muscles while you train in the nets. When you get back to bowling with a regular 156 gram ball, youβll find it much lighter allowing you to bowl faster πͺ

Heavy balls have been used by greats like Shoaib Akhtar (record holder for the fastest delivery to date) but have never been highlighted properly in the market. We believe these heavy balls hold the secret of gaining that extra pace we are all searching for as fast bowlers!
β
Think about it logically, if you bowl with a 300 gram heavy ball in practice, you will naturally find the standard 156 gram cricket ball much lighter. So basically it is strengthening your key muscle that are required for developing speed such as your shoulders, wrists!
