“Should I do yoga or Pilates?”
It’s certainly one of the more common questions I’m asked in clinic for those looking to start exercising.
The answer I give is “Walking, yoga (I’d go 💯 ), CrossFit (I go to ), Pilates, or Swimming - it doesn’t matter what you do…just do something and start moving!”
I had the pleasure of catching up with Ana from (the largest KX and most aesthetically pleasing Pilates studio in NSW) and she was of the same mindset.
Pilates helps;
✅ improve flexibility
✅ strengthen the core
✅ improve coordination and balance
✅ improve posture
✅ in pain management
I’ve never done Pilates before, so I’ll be booking into the beginner classes over the next few weeks to work up a sweat 😓and gain a better understanding of how Pilates can help our patients.
