In China, meatballs are often shaped in the size of a fist and braised in soy sauce.

Much to westerners’ confusion, it is called ‘Lion’s Head’ on the menu. Why?

The name "Lion's Head" derives from the shape of the meatballs which resembles the head of a Chinese guardian lion, a statue often found guarding the dates of temples or palaces in China.

So will you eat a lion's head?
