P**n Choi is a symbol of prosperity and community and it’s said to have originated during the late Song Dynasty, when Emperor Song and his subjects fled to Hong Kong. There wasn’t enough time or containers so the villagers collated their best food available in wooden basins which is now known as P**n Choi (盆菜).
