Madre Mezcal ‘Espadin’ is our Mezcal of choice lately. Made from agave sourced from multiple villages across Oaxaca, its a complex and lively mezcal worth exploring…

This Spring, we’ve decided to open some of our best bottles of wine and serve them by the glass. Each week we’ll chose something different, and pour glasses for customers until that bottle is empty. Now’s your chance to try some special things off the list that are now much more accessible.

This week it’s this: Matias Riccitelli ’Tinto de la Casa’ Malbec from 1200m altitude on the slopes of Mendoza, Argentina. Here, Riccitelli has collaborated with famed Argentinian photographer Marcos Lopez to create a label design that is a strong and deliberate departure from conventional norms. As for the wine itself, it’s medium to full bodied with flavours of blood plum and black olive. Come past this week to try it for yourself.

Originally from Noia York (Novo Hamburgo/Brazil), Naigel is a DJ, producer, and co-founder of where he is responsible, among other things, for the curation and programming of the radio. Despite Senso’s recent establishment, he has been working as a music researcher for over 10 years, focusing on Latin, Brazilian, and Caribbean rhythms, especially those with a syncopated character.

Urban Wine Walk returns to Bondi in August and like last year, Copo is taking part. This is basically a bar-crawl through Bondi, with each bar hosting a different winemaker.

We’ll be hosting winemaker and friend Louis Schoefield from who will be pouring his wines for all ticket holders. Louis’ wines are fantastic: he’s based in the Adelaide Hills and makes bright, crunchy reds are zippy, energetic whites.

Our good friend is back at Copo this Wednesday night for another winter reggae session.
