This Anzac Day we pay tribute to Australian servicemen and women past and present, and acknowledge all those who have supported them at home and afar.

Rex was proud to offer its support to a permanent photographic memorial in Charleville to commemorate Australian Air Force, Australian Army, and civilian nurses who served during the Vietnam War.

Rex flew four retired nurses to attend the opening at the Morven Historical Museum in southwest Queensland, which will house the stories of more than 350 Australian women who nursed in Vietnam.

Meet our first all-female crew to operate a flight on the Q400 aircraft last year for , the Rex Group’s charter/FIFO airline.

“It was a very special and memorable flight for the whole crew, knowing that we were the first but most certainly not the last is a great feeling. I couldn’t have asked for a more capable and friendly crew to mark this moment”, said Captain Charlee Hateley, who is also first female Captain on the Q400 in Australia with NJE.

Did you know: the impact of COVID still has devastating effects on aviation? 😯✈️

We had hoped to resume our Sydney-Armidale services, but continuing dislocated supply chains and pilot shortages continue to make things incredibly challenging.

Adam Marshall MP has criticised us alleging this is not true.

Mr Marshall said that Rex had surplus pilots and we’re expanding domestically at the cost of the regional operation.

Captains for our regional network are hard to find – whereas there is still a supply of Captains for domestic jet services. Our regional and domestic pilots are trained and approved to fly on different aircraft types.

We have always been clear on the cause of the suspension of flights and reduction of flights; and that resuming Armidale-Sydney services was subject to the situation improving. Things have not improved ☹️

From A to B…. We’re now flying between Adelaide Airport and Brisbane Airport! ✈

We celebrated by cutting cakes galore at Adelaide Airport and then combined a bush feel and a classic sound in Brisbane to show off our heartfelt, country-style hospitality. 🎉🥳

The special performance from Opera Queensland and was a showstopper and a wonderful way to welcome our arriving passengers into the Sunshine State.🤩
