π Kay Bretz conquered The Elephant 217km finishing = 1st.
Dean Irving clocked up 100k at the same race.
πͺ Chantelle Smith secured a top 10 spot in the Sunshine Coast Marathon, clocking in at 3 hours and 13 minutes!
π₯ Alison Flemming achieved a personal best at the Sunshine Coast Marathon, finishing in under 4 hours!
πββοΈ Stephen Cole crushed his 5k PB with a time of 20:44!
π₯ Sehaj Bajwa claimed victory at the Mudgee 10k in 37:50, earning Coach Mario his first podium win!
π Bel Fong finished 2nd globally at the Sprint Duathlon World Champsβabsolutely brilliant!
π Michelle Chen rode and ran to a massive PB, finishing 12th at the same World Champs!

"Embarking on a journey of grit and determination, continues its legacy with the epic 240kms race from Eden to Kosciuszko.
We are proud to be part of this tradition, with10 starters, seven relentless individuals since 2020,Β facing sun, rain, wind, snow, and more. This race is a test of mind, body, and teamwork.
In 2023, we have 3 runners toeing the line.

A great wrap up of Aussies around the globe.
de Rozario Leads Marathon Weekend | Around the Grounds Paralympic champion Madison de Rozario has etched her name into history as a two-time winner of the London Marathon on a busy weekend for Australian distance racing, while the UniSport Nationals were run and won.
We had a lot happening last weekend around the globe.
Let's start at the Boston Marathon where ran a great race in 3hrs & 25 mins.

Across the Atlantic, in Rotterdam, we had two runners exploring the streets.
42.2k - 2hrs:55 debut marathon. Toughed it out with a hamstring & hip-flexor issue at 22k.
10.5k - 58 minutes. ( 10k pb) π
Back home in Brisbane at the Australian Junior Champs.

XTri: 1500m Swim | 30k MTB | 10k Trail Run.
3rd Age Group and a World Champs Qualifier.
& raced in the Sprint Tri
Dani - 13th overall and 1st in age group.
Bel - 18th overall and 2nd in age group.
Mads - 25th overall and 1st in age group.
In the Classic Distance, finished 15th in her age group and

Weekend Racing.
On the weekend three of the TRT lads rocked around a 5.25k out n back course in Narrabeen.
A great local event that the boys all had their personal goals.
For .trails.n.roads his 105k result was so well executed.
Run for 4 minutes, walk for 1 minute, good nutrition all night and just keep rolling. He did this so well. A big tick for Scotty.
For Paul H, this was his first attempt at a 12 hour. With a stretch goal of 100k, Paul ran so solid all night, always happy & smiling. He was stoked with his 90k achievement and so are we.
For the night was different.
Back in September he needed something to get him running again. πββοΈ So why not choose a night race for 12 hours.
He achieved 68kms.
He ran solid for 6 hours.
We convinced him to punch out another lap at 1am. Then crew buddy Rocco enticed him for one more at 5am.
Awesome Az.
Great work lads, and well done to all the great achievements on the night by all the runners.

FRIDAY SHOE REVIEW
S/Lab Pulsar

This week's trail shoe is one of my favourites.
The Salomon S/Lab Pulsar
Why do I like this shoe
It's light. 175gms. Means it's fast.
It's flexible.
The cushioning is amazing.
With a 14mm heel & 20mm forefoot gives it a good 6mm drop.
( My road shoes are 8mm).
It transfers from trail to road beautifully. All of that for me is it is a reliable fast trail shoe.
So what is this shoes preferred surface.
I've worn my shoes over rocky trails, technical single trails with annoying roots, through mud and open fire trails.
The only surface I found them challenging was on muddy technical terrain. The lugs and depth of them kind of say that anyway.
I have been surprised at the mileage the shoes have managed. I have two pairs.
One 450ks the other 200ks and still great.
They can be a bit of a struggle to get on if you have a wide foot like me, however once in, snug as a big big.
A light fast stable shoe suitable for majority of trails. Short or ultras. I even have my junior X-Country athletes wearing them.

δΌ) is a long-distance running multi-stage relay race, mostly held on roads. First started in 1917, it is now embedded in Japanese Culture and is a massive competition between schools and university's. The biggest event is held over January 2,3 and is televised live across Japan.
How it works?
6 runners per team.
Each runner runs 7.03ks ( 2 laps of Centennial Park)
Cover the distance of 42.2ks... done.
This event is for everyone. TRT'rs, friends & family adults and kids.
On the Day.
It will be very casual. Starting time will be from 6.30am or you can start earlier if you want.
Runners run their laps, then eat & cheer on everyone else!
