Making Time: Meet the Curator 6-8pm TONIGHT is BOOKED OUT!

Hot off the Riso press! “The National News” - Youth powered newspaper responding to The National 4: Australian Art Now. Thanks to everyone who came along on Saturday to our Making Time workshop with . We will be sending digital copies of the paper to participants so you can print your own posters or zines at home & of course uploading it to our Young Creatives Zine Library soon. 📰 ❤️

Head to this Saturday afternoon to check out our latest exhibition The National 4: Australian Art Now. Members of our Youth Committee will be hosting a Making Time workshop with from 1-4pm or take a stroll through the artworks on our Art Walk & Talk at 2pm. See you there!

“GENEXT x PRIDE” is happening at the MCA tonight!
For the event, members of the Youth Committee have created some digital artworks to celebrate the evening.
Here are a series of works created by committee member that commemorate pride!

Are you ready for GENEXT x PRIDE? We can’t wait to see you all at the MCA this Saturday night 4 March. Here is a checklist of a few things to remember! Also if you need more info head to the event page linked in our bio - there you can find a bunch more info including a program of everything happening on the night! It’s going to be a vibe 🌈💜🙌

Being able to experience pride in our identities is an integral part of how we interact with the World. And it's especially important when you're a young q***r, still figuring out where you belong.
The workshops offered through GENEXT x PRIDE aimed to provide a sense of belonging and kinship which is often missing in other youth spaces.

While Justine's workshop offered a way to dream bigger through dream journalling and scent distillation,
Zoe's workshop offered a way to show us we are strong enough to take on the world, we just need to picture it.
And Jamaica offered the runway to fulfill our desire to be authentic through the art of voguing.

🌸Franken-scent and dracu-flowers
Collectively craft a scent from pieces of plants and spices, and participate in meditations on perfumes made from flowers.

Find a new item of clothing which affirms your fender and celebrates your identity.

⚡️⚡️Meet GENEXT x PRIDE artist Justine Youssef⚡️⚡️
An artist living and working across Darug and Gadigal Country, Justine’s practice always begins with writing and dreaming. Their site-specific installations, video and scent works forge superstition into empirical worlds and embrace that which is warped through displacement.
