Seeing your name on a book is honestly one of the best feelings ever

05/01/2024

Recieved this in the mail today. I'm so happy to finally have a copy of this book series in print, as it has been only available as an ebook for 4 years. The paperback and Kindle will be available on January 14th. The ebook is currently available on Nook, Kobo, Apple and some other bookstores in which I accidentally published the wrong date.

Even though "Hating Jamie Jackson" has been out for a month and a half, it was my most popular book sold this year. "I Wasn't Supposed To Fall For You" came in second. Thank you to every single person who has purchased my books or borrowed them from libraries. It means a lot to me.

Since my late teens I have been writing young adult. It's something I love writing. But since my writing slump in 2020, I realise this year that I needed to write new things. I have been having trouble writing YA, and I realise a lot of the ideas I have in my head are new adult ideas instead of YA. So in 2024, I want to concentrate on some new ideas with my writing. I'm still going to publish some of my old YA stories that need to be edited and maybe publish in the future. I also have two YA books I'm editing to publish hopefully next year. Maybe I will do some exploring with my writing, and then I will come back to YA later. My NA will mostly be clean-romance or closed door, but I'm not quite sure what direction I want to go with my writing at the moment. I mostly want to write romance, but I also really want to write an action-adventure or mystery/thriller, so I'm not sure where my ideas are going to go, but hopefully 2024 can be the year I finally break out of my writing slump.

22/12/2023

This year my writing has been a little better than the other two years where I struggled so much with my writing, being in a slump since the beginning of January 2020. This year I got to take the Publish and Thrive course, where I got to look at where I wanted my writing career to go. There's so many things I want to try in the new year, and there’s also many ideas I want to explore. As much as I love writing young adult, I'm setting it aside to write new adult, as I'm struggling to write YA. At the beginning of the year I had plans to work on writing the sequel to "Hating Jamie Jackson", but sadly it didn't go anywhere. I got to publish the book, which I'm proud of as it's the first book I wrote since my slump. This year I work on editing three books, two I'm still trying to decide if I should publish. The editing side is just a little hard so I don't know what to do. I manage to write a novella, which is currently being edited, and I'm also working on a NA novel, which I'm close to finishing. I'm also editing another novel to publish next year. Though writing was still a struggle for me, I'm hoping next year as I find what I want to write will be better.

Here's the cover for the complete series to "With You". Thank you to Ida from Amygdala Designs for this cover, and thank you to allowing me to post it early.

I'm still working on setting up the preorders for the books, and I will let you know when preorder is available. This version of "With You" will be available January 14th, 2024.

07/12/2023

So my cover designer is behind on invoices, but she said I can start sharing my cover. So on Monday, 11th of December, I'm revealing the cover for the paperback version to my novelette series "With You".

06/12/2023

I'm hoping to do a cover reveal sometime next week for the paperback version to my series "With You", which will be both books in one paperback. I'm just waiting on the invoice from my cover designer and I will let you know which day will be the reveal.

01/12/2023

11 years ago this book started my publishing journey. I didn't think that 11 years later I would have 10 books published. I have learned a lot of things about writing and publishing over the years, and I will keep learning as I publish each book.

29/11/2023

Happy 3rd birthday to the sequel to "I Wasn't Supposed To Fall For You".

For the 30th of November, the ebook will be for 0.99 cents

I have been working on getting my novelette series "With You" into paperback. It will feature both the books "One Whole Night With You" and "Every Moment With You", which both are only available as an ebook because of how short they are. I made a paperback copy for myself to see how it would look as a book, but wasn't planning to publish it. It has been a while since I published the last book in the series, and I think it's time to finally put both books together. My cover designer sent me the front cover and it's amazing. I can't wait to see the whole cover 😊

21/11/2023

Happy 1 week to "Hating Jamie Jackson". Have you gotten your copy yet?

17/11/2023

So I'm hoping to get my book series With You into paperback. As the novelette series is short and only available in ebook, I'm going to combine the two books into one book. I hope to have it out either January or February 2024. I made this into paperback last year because I wanted to have a couple of the series in print, and I hesitated about printing it for a while, but now I want to see this series in print for everyone

I'm currently working on about 3 projects. A new adult romance call "The Art of Moving On" (the first picture). And then there's the 2 books that I'm in the middle of editing - "This Song Is For You" (2nd picture) and "Chasing Tornadoes" (3rd picture). It's kind of overwhelming trying to juggle these three as well as keeping up with my own commitments.

It's been awhile since I have been able to write a book that I'm happy with. I'm having so much fun writing Emma and Beck's story in "The Art of Moving On". I'm thinking of releasing it in 2025.

Sometime next year I hope to get Casey and Tessa's story published. The story is pretty emotional so I'm not sure how I'm going to get through their story.

And lastly, I love Anna and Jeremy in this picture. My plan for "Chasing Tornadoes" was to release it in July 2024 when the movie "Twisters" comes out, but I'm not sure if that is happening yet. But we will see what happens.

I had fun using AI images to see what my characters would look like.

15/11/2023

At 8 years old I began writing after discovering it the year before when my year 1 teacher introduced the class to creative writing. When I was 9, I decided I wanted to be a writer. I self-published my first book at 23, having no clue whatsoever on how to publish a book. When I was younger I was told I couldn't be a writer because you make no money from writing. I have even been told that I'm not good enough to be traditional published. I may not be traditionally published, and that's okay because I really enjoy being an indie author. After almost 11 years of publishing my books, I'm so happy to hold my 10th book. Holding a book with your name on it that you wrote is an awesome feeling.

Hope you all enjoy Candice and Jamie's story. Happy release day!

Happy release day to "Hating Jamie Jackson". I'm celebrating today with dessert

So I discovered Bing Image today from another author. I decided to have some fun and created some of the cabin scenes my characters Candice and Jamie gets stuck in my new book "Hating Jamie Jackson" that comes out tomorrow.

I had so much fun writing the cabin scene. Like I didn't know what mood I will be making the characters. Sometimes they got along and at other times they were fighting.

Although I do not imagine Candice's hair this red. I like how these pictures turn out even though the cabin is not decorated with this much Christmas stuff. I think in the book it's just the tree.

TITLE REVEAL
I have been having trouble deciding on which book I will be publishing next. Sometimes I have all of these books in my head at once, and then it's like okay which one should I publish first?

"This Song Is For You" is a book I have been hesitating for a while. But it was something Matthew Perry said in an interview that hit me, where he had said "Secrets are what kills us", and it made me think of this story, so I'm like, okay. I'm going to publish this. I'm not going to hesitate and I'm not going to hide in fear from backlash. I have no idea when I will be publishing it yet, sometime next year. I'm on the 1st round of edits right now.

The story follows two best friends, whose relationship turns sour. And when Casey dies, Tessa is left wondering what happened between them two and if she is the one is responsible for Casey's death. The story focuses on bullying, mental health and su***de awareness.

31/10/2023

Writing about mental health and reading books about it is something I enjoy. Last night I watched this tribute to Matthew Perry on A Current Affair, and this one thing he said hit me hard when the story ended, showing a scene from an interview of his book. He said, "Secrets are what kills us". I can't stop thinking about what he had said. It instantly made me think of this one story I wrote that I keep hesitating to publish because I'm terrified of the backlash, especially because the story was half inspired by "13 Reasons Why". And as soon as I heard Matthew's words, I'm like "That's it. I need to publish that book, no matter how terrified I am of it because there's someone out there that needs to read the story." I'm currently in the middle of editing two other books, but I think this one I'm going to publish first. I don't want to tell you which story it is yet, but perhaps you read it on Wattpad. I just want to edit the story for myself for a bit before I decide to announce which book I'm publishing.

30/10/2023

Just caught the last part of A Current Affair where they were talking about Matthew Perry. The last thing he says hit me, and I realise this story I'm terrified of publishing that is inspired by "13 Reasons Why" is what I need to publish next. Matthew said "Secrets is what kills us.", and it just reminded me of the main character of my story who did exactly that. So I think that book will be the next book I publish even though I want to publish this novella next, I think this other story is the one that needs to be told the most. I need to look past the fear of backlash and publish it.

28/10/2023

With "Hating Jamie Jackson" coming out in less than 2 weeks, I just want to say thank you to the 16 people who have preorder a copy of my book. This is the most I have gotten for preorders for any of my books. Thank you so so much for purchasing your copy. It means so much to me, and I really can't wait for you all to read Candice and Jamie's story on November 15th.

There's still time to preorder your copy, just see the link here on where to get your copy: https://books2read.com/u/mvNw5X

26/10/2023

I looked on my Ingramspark account this afternoon and saw that I had 16 preorders for my new book "Hating Jamie Jackson". Thank you to all those who have preordered. It means so much to me, and I really can't wait for you to read the book once it's out next month.

24/10/2023

Just 3 more weeks until release day

13/10/2023

Just a month to go until my YA book "Hating Jamie Jackson" is out into the world. I'm so excited about this book. It was the first book I officially completed after going through a writing slump. Candice and Jamie were so much fun to write about, especially when writing about them bickering.

(Oh yeah, and Ollie didn't want to get off my shoulder while I took this. So I had to quickly take this shot because she was trying to get the book)

09/10/2023

Happy 4th birthday to my book "I Wasn't Supposed To Fall For You". It honestly doesn't even feel it has been around that long.

Thank you to everyone who has read this over the last 4 years. It has been one of my popular books since I published it.

03/10/2023

Do you ever feel so excited about writing a book that you can't wait to have it publish, but as you start editing it you don't feel excited? Maybe it's just doubt, maybe I'm working on edits while I am tired, or maybe it's something else. I feel in my story there is so much research I need to still do, and the descriptions are the hardest, especially when I haven't experienced a tornado before. I'm trying to imagine my character while seeing and hearing everything in my head, but everything is happening all at once in the scenes that sometimes I'm not sure how to edit the scene, even when I'm watching documentaries to help me with describing it. I guess in a way I just need to take my time with this book, even when I want it to be out by July 2024, it may not be out by then.

21/09/2023

I'm really disappointed that it rain in Paris today. I was really looking forward to posing with my book with some landmarks that was in the book. But because of the rain, I couldn't do it. So thank you rain for messing up my plans, especially for the 8th book birthday of "The Jet Lag Diaries". So this shirt is as close as my book will ever be close to the landmarks.

01/09/2023

I had so much fun writing this scene, and it's also one of my favourite scenes in the book.

"Hating Jamie Jackson" is out November 15th, 2023. Preorder your copy today
