Hello fellow hobbyists!
Clean your brushes, organize your paint racks, and get your thinking caps on – Armies on Parade is happening at Warhammer Penrith! This awesome community event will be held in-store on Saturday the 30th of November this year!

For those who are new to Armies on Parade, it is an event held annually in-store where people can show off their Warhammer miniatures and armies that they've painted. It is a celebration of the awesome talents of newcomers and regulars alike. If there's an army or character you'd love to show off bring it in for Armies on Parade! Not only will the community get to see your hard work on display but there will also be all sorts of cool incentives for entering your miniatures in-store – and there will also be prizes that will be on offer through a community vote.

If you would like to participate in Armies on Parade, please drop off your submissions in-store on Friday the 29th of November. This is to ensure that we can prepare space for everyone's entries before the event begins on the 30th.

This year the competition is divided into four new categories: Individual, Team, Display Board, Youngbloods and Skaventide.

Entrants to the Individual category can paint up and submit any character, unit or army from any game system on a blank battle board or table. It’s all about the army, so no terrain is required!

Team entries are the same, but these are for groups who want to work together to put on a show-stopping entry. It could be two friends painting a combined force, a family working together, a whole team painting a unit each, or maybe a big community, each contributing a single miniature!

The Display Board category is for those who want to exercise their terrain-making and diorama muscles. You can also enter this category on top of entering the Individual or Team categories. Entries must fit with a board with base dimension of 2' x 2' (61cm x 61cm).

Youngbloods is a category exclusively for 13 to 15-year-olds (though you require the consent of a parent or guardian to enter). Teams of Youngbloods can also enter the Team category as long as they have someone over 16 as part of their group – so, for instance, your teacher can enter on behalf of a school Warhammer club.

Skaventide:
We also have a special announcement to make regarding this year’s Armies on Parade showcase. To celebrate the launch of the Skaventide box and the dawn of a new edition of Warhammer Age of Sigmar, we’re adding a new Skaventide category for 2024.

We want to see just what you can do with the contents of the box, so if you enter an army composed solely of the miniatures you get in Skaventide, there’ll be a special category for you to compete in. So long as it uses those models, you can let your imagination run wild!

*Conditions of entry:
1. Any miniatures/armies submitted must have been built and painted within the past year.
2. You must provide photo evidence that's dated, showing progress shots of your work as proof your submission has been created within the past year.
3. The individual submitting their miniature/army must have built and painted it themselves. You cannot commission another artist to paint your miniature/ army and submit it into Armies on Parade. If this occurs the entry and entrant will be disqualified.
4. Armies on Parade is a celebration of all ability levels. There will be zero tolerance for bullying and negative behavior. Any misconduct will result in disqualification.

What a fun Sunday it's been in store!
We had some enthusiastic newcomers painting their first minis. There's some great use of colour here and some free-hand designs were tried out too, how cool! 😎

They have been having a blast exploring the Worlds of Warhammer through our Battle Honours program. As you can see they've been working hard to get their minis built, painted and ready for battle! How cool do these guys look set up on the battlefield?!

And for those of you who are currently working through your Battle Honours feel free to bring in what you've been working on, we'd love to celebrate your work and share it with the community!

Hello all!
As we know, the first Saturday of every month we bring out a selected mini for our Minature of the Month that is made available for everyone who visits the store which they can build and take home. Pretty cool right?!
Well for those who have been keen for our next mini, I have been notified that it has been delayed and will most likely arrive in store towards the end of the month instead. If anyone is keen to build something in store in the meantime we will have some alternative options available.

The Darkoath Tribes are the original inhabitants of the Mortal Realms, and have long suffered under the yoke of the Ruinous Powers.
