R U OK? 💛
Splashes of yellow could be seen throughout Bankstown North to celebrate RUOK Day. This is a day where we remember to check in on our friends, family and colleagues to ask them if they are okay. By having regular, meaningful conversations, you build trust and normalise talking about what’s really going on, so when the people in your world find themselves struggling, they know you’re someone they can talk to.
We held a m***i day where we all dressed in yellow. The staff had a special morning tea and were asked to bring in some ‘yellow’ food to share with each other.
Thank you Mrs Morgan and Selma (social work student) for organising this special day! ✨
Congratulations to our K-2 and 3-6 award winners 🏆
Big shout out to 2 Yellow and 5 Red for 100% attendance this fortnight! ✨
R U Ok? K-2 Green are!
K-2 Green have had an amazing time learning about R U Ok Day. We watched a video explaining what the day is all about. Our class had a great time decorating biscuits with yellow frosting! 🍪
We hope everyone is okay and if not please reach out to someone to support you!
Great work Mrs Tablie, Mrs Nadia and K-2 Green! ✨
We love Geography at Bankstown North! 🌎
Stage 1 have been looking at where Australia is in the world and were asked to find a list of countries in relation to Australia, near or far. They were then asked to find the countries near the equator. Student did this in groups of 4 giving support and help in finding the countries.
Stage 2 have been studying earthquakes and volcanoes this term and ended the lesson with a volcano craft which they painted. It was a lot of fun and ended the unit well.
All students have been able to watch mushrooms grow in geography which for many has been a fascinating process, learning lots of facts about mushrooms as well! 🍄🟫
Thank you Mrs Armson for your engaging lessons!
Breakfast Club at Bankstown North runs every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning from 8.30am to 8.50am. Students can choose from cereal, fruit and toast, and sometimes as a special treat we have flavoured milk!
It is so important for students to have breakfast to help them concentrate in class lessons, so if your child doesn’t have time to eat breakfast at home, they can join us at the Breakfast Club!
Thank you Mrs Morgan, Marisa (community liaison officer) and Selma (social work student) for creating these opportunities for our students! ✨

This week is School Administrative and Support Staff Recognition Week - SASS Week 2024.
Our SASS Staff play an important role in the school community. They are often the first people you see when you enter a school and are essential to maintaining positive relationships with students, parents and the community.
SASS Staff work in school offices, in classrooms and libraries, and also maintain and care for school grounds and buildings. They are often the ones to tend to students when they are unwell and they ensure the efficient management of school financial and administration functions.
Today and everyday we would to thank them for all that they do for our Bankstown North community!
