Open Friday: JAM Record Bar Sydney Is Merivale's Foray Into A Tokyo-Style Listening Room JAM Record Bar is a vinyl bar from Merivale, opening on Friday 19 April in the Sydney CBD.
Merivale is opening a Tokyo-inspired vinyl bar with 15,000 banging records this Friday Called Jam Record Bar, the Japanese-inspired pink record bar will be spinning 15,000 records alongside sandos, skewers, highballs, and sake.
On Friday we’re finally opening JAM Record Bar. A passion project for Justin Hemmes and sister Bettina, with the bar being named after their parents.
After founding in the ‘50s, John and Merivale Hemmes launched JAM Jeans, JAM Shop, and their own record titled JAM (swipe to see the original 👉).
The family legacy continued when Justin started JAM Recordings in 2003, a music label which founded Good Vibrations.
You can expect 15,000 vinyl records, snacks and anything-but-basic cocktails. Walk ins only.🚶
