THE RBA leaves rates on hold!
- Interest rates have been increased by 4 percentage points since May last year.
- The higher interest rates are working to establish a more sustainable balance between supply and demand in the economy.
- In light of this and the uncertainty surrounding the economic outlook, the Board again decided to hold interest rates steady this month.
-This will provide further time to assess the impact of the increase in interest rates to date and the economic outlook.
The recent data are consistent with inflation returning to the 2–3 per cent target range over the forecast horizon and with output and employment continuing to grow. There are though significant uncertainties. Some further tightening of monetary policy may be required to ensure that inflation returns to target in a reasonable timeframe, but that will depend upon the data and the evolving assessment of risks.
Statement by Philip Lowe, Governor: Monetary Policy Decision | Media Releases At its meeting today, the Board decided to leave the cash rate target unchanged at 4.10 per cent and the interest rate paid on Exchange Settlement balances unchanged at 4.00 per cent.

CAAA are proud to announce they have once again been named in the The Australian Financial Review Top 100 Accounting Firms. Since last year, the firm has once again improved its ranking, having completed two successful acquisitions, expanding their firm operations into the Sutherland and Illawarra regions, and adding 15 staff.
The expansion has been a huge success largely due to CAAA Next, their go to market acquisition strategy, working with likeminded firms who are looking to sell their practice.
CAAA have continued plans for national expansion.
