The teams expressed heartfelt gratitude to Our Big Kitchen, especially George and Chef Dave, for hosting them. They had a wonderful experience participating in this community initiative, which deepened their understanding of the impact of volunteer work. They were grateful for the chance to contribute and help those in need.

During their visits, they cooked hundreds of meals that were distributed hot to other charities. The activities provided a change of pace from their usual work, allowing them to bond as a team while facing the challenge of cooking meals in an hour without a recipe, using only a secret ingredient and various utensils.

Despite the difficulty, the most challenging aspect was hearing the stories of the homeless and those in need. Knowing their meals could provide comfort and nourishment was heartwarming. They appreciated the opportunity to give back and make a positive impact, acknowledging that such basic needs are often taken for granted.

We loved having the BRG team at Our Big Kitchen, where they prepared 250 meals for those in need, including recipients at a domestic violence shelter and others as far as Penrith. It was a rewarding experience hearing how these meals make a difference.
BRG's efforts also helped reduce food waste, turning unsellable but good food into hearty meals. With 5 teams in a friendly competition, they made the experience engaging and fun, all while staying focused on the mission.
