Congrats to all our fencers who represented our club and UNSW at UniSport Nationals in the Gold Coast!

We had a record of 13 Fencers in attendance, with our largest medal haul yet! Congrats to:

Also, a big shoutout to our Men’s Foil and Sabre teams who finished in 4th after 2 nail-biting 3rd place fence-offs which ended 45-40 and 45-45 respectively!

We’ll be back with a vengeance at UniGames 2024 😈

UNSW Fencing Foilist and Epeeist EOI Are you a Foilist or Epeeist studying at UNSW and want to fence with and for your uni? UNSW Fencing is looking to expand into running open bout sessions on campus! Fill out this form to let us know if you'd be interested in fencing with us!

All held in the UNSW Fitness and Aquatics Centre, Courtside Studio!

UPDATE ON TRAINING SESSIONS DURING EXAM PERIOD

During the study period and exam period (25/04 - 11/05), UNSW Fencing Club will not be running any training sessions. Training will resume in the Term Break only on Saturdays during the regular 3-6PM timeslot, and the regular biweekly training schedule resumes at the beginning of Term 2.

This week we've got our regular line up of training sessions, as well as an extra special event - UNSW Fencing goes to... AFC #1! We'll be going on a group trip to check out the sabre bouts at AFC #1!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING UNSW FENCING X UNSW SLAS MOVIE DAY:

Dear fencers and UNSW Spanish and Latin American Society members,

Regrettably, due to certain unforeseen circumstances and logistics issues, it is with a heavy heart that we are having to cancel the UNSW SLAS x FENCING - Puss in Boots movie day. Everyone who signed up will be refunded their movie ticket, but as consolation they are still eligible for the discounted $5 fencing session.

'Tis is not the end, but rather a new beginning, as both our clubs look forward to running an exciting collab event in the future. Stay tuned to both Spanish & Latin American Society UNSW and UNSW Fencing for more on our respective events!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING CHANGES TUESDAY AND FRIDAY TRAINING:

G'day fencers,
We won't be running Tuesday and Friday training sessions for the rest of the year. Instead, training sessions will now be on Saturdays from 3pm - 6pm, starting from this Saturday (26/11).

For our members who are currently doing their exams, the UNSW Fencing team wishes you all the best of luck and good studies.

UPDATE ON TUESDAY WEEK 6 (18/10) TRAINING

Dear fencers, this week we will not be running our Tuesday training session on the 18th of October. Friday's training session on the 21st will proceed as usual, no need to worry about that!

Update on 23/09 Friday training.

Due to the upcoming Nationals competition in WA we have decided to cancel Friday's training and Friday Fight Night.

We will be back up and running on the Tuesday, 27th of September.

We have heard many of our members asking about UNSW Fencing Club Merch and we have prepared this Google Form for you to provide feedback on what types of merch you'd want and to get input on any ideas you may have.

Update on 23/08 Tuesday training and Term Break.

We've had to unfortunately cancel this week's Tuesday training session, however Friday is expected to carry on as usual.

Furthermore we will be running only on Fridays for the Term Break (26/08 - 10/09) period.

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING WEEK 12 TRAINING

This term's exam block has come together in such a unique way that our execs are unfortunately unable to host training this Tuesday (16/08) and Friday (19/08), so we have made the decision to cancel training for Week 12.

The exam block is a uniquely concentrated period of pressure for students, and we know that sports is an essential way for students to unwind and relax, so we are deeply sorry for this.

Good news, fencers!
This week we will be running both Tuesday and Friday training sessions at our regular times of 2-4 PM and 2-5 PM respectively.

UPDATE REGARDING 02/08 FENCING SESSION:

We have made the difficult decision to cancel Tuesday fencing in Week 10, owing to the fact many of us have exams during this period. Friday fencing will continue, and stay tuned for more info on what's happening in Week 11 and 12.

NOTICE FOR TUESDAY 19/07 TRAINING

Dear fencers, unfortunately one of our executives who assists with hosting Tuesday training has fallen ill and is out of action. As a result, we will have to cancel Tuesday training JUST for this week.

Friday training is expected to run as usual.
