👏 Congratulations to Sarah, Annabella and Mia who recently appeared in their school’s production of High School Musical! 🤩

These students have grown so much as performers and as people since we first met them in Year 7. They are now in Year 10 and growing into confident and enthusiastic leaders. It is a joy to have them in the studio each week!

It’s wild to think that this is our 17th concert 😮 Take a little trip down memory lane with me (Jemma) as we post a few mems from past shows!
This image popped up in my Facebook memories today, promoting our 2016 concert. The opening featured guest artist duo Sarah (visual artist) & Jason Dahl (cellist). Our Senior ballet dancers performed to a stunning LIVE cello piece, whilst Sarah painted from a blank canvas on stage - completely improvised and drawing her inspiration from the movement happening around her! It evolved into a complete artwork over the 5 minute performance, and we auctioned it off after the concert to raise funds for the 💚
It was such a powerful performance, as “Ballet, Bow and Brush” united!
2016 was also Miss Sarah’s first concert with us ❤️ And Miss Taylor was performing (probably in every second item) in the Inspire TEEN age group!!!

We have absolutely loved welcoming so many new faces to our Thursday Drama & Musical Theatre program under the guidance of Miss Emma! 🤩 It was so special to see students perform with such courage and excitement at their first ever Inspire event last Friday 👏👏👏

Our Thursday program for Grades 3-6 was born when our Saturday classes began to reach capacity! 😱 Running back to back with Ballet, Tap and Jazz/Contemporary classes, Thursdays are a great opportunity for new and existing students to enjoy the exciting worlds of theatre and dance all on one jam-packed afternoon! 😍

🔍 Mystery At Merton Manor 🔮 Teen Drama

It has been a joy seeing this group of actors with a vast range of experience levels come together to build an ensemble in this class! 😍 They are developing a growth mindset, which is what we are all about! 👏

When discussing what worked well in their recent performance we came to a discussion about an onstage mishap. One wise student said “I’m glad it happened to us now, because we always get told ‘if anything happens keep going’ but now we’ve actually experienced it and learned from it, and we know now that if anything happens in the future, we CAN keep going!” 🤩

We are SO proud of you Teen Drama, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds as you continue to grow into confident young performers ✨

💘A Midsummer Night’s Dream🧪Senior Drama

These guys had the audience HOWLING with laughter at our showcase on Friday night, and we are SO proud of their sensational work! 🤩

This Shakespeare comedy was chosen as a challenge for our eldest students, some of whom have been with us since they were teeny tiny Juniors 🥹 with others in this class joining us just last year!
