Truth-telling Research Report Launch
Join the launch of the report titled "Coming to terms with the past?: Identifying Barriers and Enablers to Truth-telling and Strategies to promote historical acceptance"
The research, undertaken by Prof. Heidi Norman & Dr Anne Maree Payne on behalf of Reconciliation Australia identifies what people think about truth-telling and the purpose it should serve; what motivates people to get involved and what prevents them; and the implications for the development of effective and engaging truth-telling activities.

The Centre for the Advancement of Indigenous Knowledges, UTS: University of Technology Sydney, is undertaking a research project on behalf of Reconciliation Australia exploring truth-telling between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous Australians. We are seeking responses from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous Australians on a range of questions about attitudes towards and experiences of truth-telling. We aim to identify barriers to participation in truth-telling activities and events, and factors that enable engagement with truth-telling and promote understanding of Australiaâs colonial past.
