After five years, Sherman Centre for Culture and Ideas has presented its final public programme of the Fashion and Architecture Hubs.
Over the last half-decade, the Foundation, which you probably know better as SCCI, has been hosting scintillating conversations between architects, artists, designers, curators, creators, performers, politicians, lawyers, business leaders, authors, publishers, journalists, and many, many more experts in their respective field – whatever shape that expertise might take, and wherever they can be found.
The brainchild of the inimitable, and much-loved Dr , the project was part of her vision to reshape the public understanding of fashion and architecture, and expand the imaginative reticulum of the applied arts today ... and tomorrow.
During the last five years we’ve welcomed over 350 speakers, to some 150 conversations, tours, workshops, masterclasses, presentations and performances, with in excess of 10,000 in-person attendees, and more than 90,000 audience members (and counting!) who tuned in to the SCCI podcast series from 2018-2022 and Cinéphile Hub in 2020 when the world shut its borders.
From Gene and the team here at SCCI, a very big thank you, to everyone who spoke at an event, chaired a panel, hosted a dinner, asked a question, collaborated on a partnership, and ultimately helped to create such a sparkling, deeply thoughtful conversation that's been five years in the making – and will be heard for years to come.
So this is not a good-bye but, in Gene's words, "more to follow..."
