Matte, drippy goodness!

I made myself some earrings yesterday using silver clay.
I added some ✨️sparkle✨️ I don't usually wear sparkle like this, but I'm actually quite liking these.

I'm having fun playing around with metal stamps and different hammering techniques today. Some I really like the look of, others I probably won't use again. I love this jewellery making journey I'm going on whilst waiting for my kiln to arrive. I just want to learn everything 🤣

I am bending and shaping copper wire for an enamel pendant today. What colour do you think this little guy should be? I was thinking blues or greens? Or maybe both?

I do have to say I have become a bit obsessed with red dragonfruit since moving to Townsville. I can't get enough of it cut up with fresh lime juice squeezed on top. The colour, the taste, the texture, I just love it. 🤤
I hear the season is coming to an end, unfortunately, so I'm going to have to come up with a replacement. I wonder when mango season starts 🤔
I am going to have to somehow organise some Waterloo cherries to be sent up in the summer/new year they are the ultimate! 👌🤤

I sat down for lunch today and noticed I was using all "Fincher" ceramics. Our cupboards are full of mismatched dishes. One day soon, I will get around to making us a full set of plates, bowls and cups. Maybe that can be my first project when my new kiln arrives 🤔
In other news, Scott made his famous carrot cake yesterday! It is full of walnuts and so so good!
Both kids are home "sick" today. They have both since confessed they could have gone to school but really felt like a home day. I'll allow it, we shall call it a mental health day ❤️

My latest copper and enamel pendant. I'm slowly improving and learning new techniques. My head is swimming with new ideas to try!!

The print didn't show as dark as I had hoped on these shoes. I think because of the awkward shape, I only applied pressure with my hands, and it wasn't quite enough. They are still kinda cute, though. 🩷🦋🩷

I've borrowed a sewing machine from my local library, which actually works! Yay! Also, who knew libraries did this they also have a 3D printer available, amongst other things!
Anyway, I've discovered that for a sarong, fabric with an ever so slight stretch (like this fabric in pic) is nice and also that a bit extra fabric is much more comfy for us curvier people out there. So I'm off to spotlight to get some fabric to make myself one in my favourite colour .... 💚✌️ x

I have recently joined the Townsville Gem and Mineral Club. I have been learning how to enamel. It's is so much fun! Here are some enamelled copper earrings I made up today. I'm having such a blast experimenting with different methods, colours and materials. Hope you guys like them 😊

So many ideas are floating around in my head atm. Time to get them down on paper! 💡💡💡
Kids are on holidays atm so im not getting much made lately. The kids, however, discovered the fabric section at spotlight and are now completely motivated to sew. Sewing machines are definitely not my strong suit, I will have to take deep breaths to get myself through this activity I think 🫣
