Another great fly tying night this month with club member Norbert leading us in tying the Dobson Cod Fly. Normally tied for the iconic Murray Cod, but a great pattern with high movement which many tropical predators like Barra wouldn't hesitate to inhale. If you want to check out one of our tying nights or other activities, visitors and prospective members are always welcome!

Also a big thanks to member Brad Morris for his contribution getting this organised for the club. This will be put to use as a quality combo for new members to get out on the water and have a taste of saltwater flyfishing before investing in their own gear. Our Club sadly lost Harvey Low, a founding member and our first life member on Thursday morning

The NQ Flyfishers remember Harvey as a true gentleman of our sport, always generous with his time and sharing knowledge with other members.

Many of us had the pleasure of tying a Clouser Minnow as our first fly or landing our first fly-caught fish with Harvey's guidance.

The club offers its sincere condolences to all of Harvey's family and friends.

Funeral details for Harvey will be announced via the Townsville Bulletin on the 25th of March
