Meditative environmental music ~ Cello & Didgeridoo in dialogue with nature

This composition was created as an immersive musical dialogue with nature to evoke a sense of belonging and connection to the natural world and it's precious biodiversity, upon which we intrinsically depend.
Rike Wolf hopes to inspire a deeper sense of care for the incredible natural world we are a part of and the many species we share this planet with; in mutualistic symbiosis.

SYNERGY tells a captivating story of connection to the natural world through a moving dialogue with the elements, inviting you to reflect on how humans impact nature’s synergy, with a heartfelt call to action to preserve planetary health and build cultural and social bridges to unite in our shared humanity.

Composed and directed by Cellist Rike Wolf, Synergy was filmed in North Queensland, Australia, taking you through the magnificent bush and coastal landscapes of the sub-tropics as an invitation to connect with the land, and the incredible species we share this beautiful planet with, many of which are endangered now.

Together with First Nations Didgeridoo player and dancer Will Mabo, Rike explores the essence of natural rhythms, and the perpetual cycle of life, growth and belonging as an intricate interplay between humanity and the environment.

Released on International WILD KOALA DAY, May 3rd, Rike raises awareness about the many endangered species such as Koalas, which call this region their home, in which the music video was filmed.
Rike hopes to shine an audiovisual light on the need for collective efforts to protect and restore planetary health.

The title synergy reflects the potential of our collective energies and stands for the capacity humans have to unite and achieve solutions to preserve biodiversity and protect the natural world we depend upon.

Rike & Will’s intuitive blend of Cello, Didgeridoo and nature sounds take you through a mesmerising musical landscape which evokes connection with the natural world.

Rike is a European Cellist, multi-instrumentalist and composer with a warm soulful musical touch who captivates audiences with her highly nuanced, heartfelt cello tones and interwoven compositions. Her environmental music reflects her passion for nature and planetary health.

Will is a First Nations didgeridoo artist & traditional dancer, who has moved many audiences in profound ways. Will blends traditional and contemporary techniques, creating a unique fusion of deeply relaxing, rhythmic, and roaring didgeridoo sounds.

Rike & Will have performed together for the past 3 years, creating many sold out events locally. Both have individually played at many festivals including AFCM, Woodford, NAFA, PUNQ, Fringe, Palm Creek & Yungaburra Folk Festival.

Uniting their unique sounds as SYNERGY, their environmental music creates a sonic bridge between humanity and the natural world. Their musical dialogue features endangered species and delivers a heartfelt call to action to cherish and protect nature and the magnificent wildlife we share this planet with.
