The rain had settled in for the day and we had to be indoors. But that didn't mean we couldn't have fun. So we headed in for a bit of bowling and the young fellas did well and had an awesome time. 🎳
What a beautiful day today so we headed up for a little road trip stopping in at Frosty Mango and then heading to Cardwell for fish and chips at the Big Crab by the beach before a little walk after lunch.
Saturday was a movie and chill kind of day, so we went down to Reading cinemas. The Boys got to pick their own movie and enjoyed the big TV show.
Moved into the new house and Shrek thought it was a pretty cool 'swamp'. He didn't do much heavy lifting however preferring to laze on the couch instead. And Master G won't be impressed when he finds out Shrek was in his bed.
What do we do on the last week of holidays? We go Karting! The boys had a blast.🚦🚙🚕🚗
It was one of the Quantum Crews birthdays today with our little Captain America hitting the big 18, lookout ladies. He celebrated in true Deccy style with Freddos, cake and balloons.
Shrek thought it was pretty cool that we had a sleepover with a couple of the lads to increase their independence and life skills. Everyone had a great time.
It was that time of year again and the annual Special Children's Xmas party was on and the crew headed on down for the festive fun.
On the weekend we headed down for some fun in the sun and did some skiing. It was extra special as Shrek came down to see what the fuss was all about. Master D even jumped in the boat for a few laps. 🏖❤️🙏🏻
Grinners are winners. Master T got himself a bigun 🐟

Sun's out Guns out. Was a beautiful day this morning so the crew headed to Northshore Pool to have some fun in the sun.
A BIG Happy 18th birthday to Liam. We caught up for a nice lunch and a swim to celebrate. 🎂🎉
To finish up the last week of holidays the team took the crew on an Island Adventure for a day of fun. We jumped on the Ferry 🛥 and the Barge and travelled over to Maggie Island and checked out the Koala Park. We followed this up with a nice lunch and a swim in the pool to cool off. It was a great day outdoors soaking up the sun 🏖🏝 and the fresh air, getting much-needed Vitamin D and Sea🌊😉.
On the Holidays we went to Junction Cafe for some engaged play and increased social participation and community interaction. The boys had a blast and the weather was perfect.
So Shrek wasn't feeling well, and decided to have a sleep in today.
Happy birthday to Robbie. It only seems like a year ago it was your birthday
Recently Shrek popped in to say Hi to Dave from ABLE Programs who was working hard and enjoyed the break to catchup with Shrek
Sometimes you just need to get out there with the animals to help you ground and chill. Animals have a very calming nature and bring out the smiles
With this great weather it was time to get the green thumb on. Shrek for some reason beat me to the punch.
So with beautiful weather yesterday we headed out with Shrek to see him do some large muscle movement exercise and get some Vitamin D with a couple of young men. Shrek did get a few looks driving around and out and about but it didn't faze him.
Whaaatttt
Tonights full moon looks awesome tonight and has rainbow rings from our view
So I would like to expose a situation. If your children (or grandchildren) don’t learn to play with children with special needs at school, maybe you should spend 10 minutes tonight explaining it to them. Because although they don't currently live with these children at school, they will find them in their lives for sure.
In light of recent events regarding the exclusion of a child with autism from attending a school trip and a child with Down Syndrome being expelled from dance class because she couldn't keep up with it, I feel the need to share this. There are boys and girls that no one invites to birthday parties. There are special children who want to be part of a team but are not selected because it's more important to win than to include these children. Kids with special needs aren't weird, they just want what everyone wants: to be accepted!
Can I ask a question? Is there anyone willing to copy and paste this post on their wall without sharing it, like I did, for all the special children out there?
Please teach your children to be kind to these beautiful children! Everyone needs love and kindness. ❤️❤️❤️
(Copied this from a friend. It is an important message.)
Shrek recently went and participated in some hoist training and trialled a new chair. He's definitely building some skills and living his best life
Came into the Office this morning, and Shrek was already up and ready for the 3rd game of SOO tonight. Clean slate for Queenslanderrrsssss!!!!
So Shrek decided to get into the swing of all things SOO. He decided to go for a drive to his mates Bear and Master C's house to watch the footy. Go QUEENSLANDERRRRR
Our local resident Shrek needed to get out of the Unit today and decided to hop into the car with Master C. Master C thought that was just fantastic.
Today the Quantum Care Therapy & Adventures Crew headed to the Museum. Everyone had a nice time exploring the exhibits and displays. This was a great exercise challenging each of their comfort levels in a social environment as well as participating in a group activity. It was a nice relaxing day and we'll definitely visit again. ❤️ 🙂
