COVID-19 vaccine 06/08/2021

Dear valued members,

Today, in Australia, approximately 15 (out of 25) million people are in lockdown, and it hasn’t been long since Townsville was put on a precautionary lockdown. Rapid vaccination is the only tool to avoid future lockdown, and get back to the normal campus life and open international boarder. We appreciate all the members who already got the jabs. We also encourage rest of you to register yourselves through QLD health (link below) so that you can get the vaccine as soon as they are available for you. You can post your vaccination photo in this group to share your experience with rest of us. Stay safe.

You can book your COVID-19 vaccine through the uni provided link or simply calling at 44331111 (Townsville Hospital). But you should start the conversation, 'you are a JCU international student having no Medicare, would like to get the jab.....'. Or you can just walk through any time from 10am to 2pm to the centre at Townsville Hospital. Walk-through has been working well so far, but not sure how long it will. Finally, you don't need to rush as you will get jab at some point.
