WELCOME TO COUNTRY, LOCAL CULTURAL KNOWLEDGE/TOUR, AND ACTIVITIES | Earlier this year in March we had the pleasure to meet some of the deadly young men and women from the Navy Indigenous Development Program. We started the day by Welcoming them to Country, walked Garabarra and shared some local Cultural Knowledge of the area and then finished the day teaching them some Spear and Boomerang Throwing.
WELCOME TO COUNTRY AND DANCE PERFORMANCE | Earlier this year we got to deliver a Welcome To Country and Dance Performance for the students who graduated with certifications in AOD and Mental Health from Pinangba.
EMBEDDING CULTURAL GROUNDING WITHIN EDUCATION | Earlier this month we had the pleasure to travel across to Yunbenun (Magnetic Island) to deliver a Welcome To Country and Dance Performance for Magnetic Island State School official NAIDOC Celebration. It was also great seeing our Yunbenun Rangers there engaging with the School.
EMBEDDING CULTURAL GROUNDING WITHIN EDUCATION | Earlier this month we were engaged to share culture with Pimlico State High School as a part of the School's NAIDOC Celebration. Both Ashley and William are past students of Pimlico and is always a pleasure to return.
WELCOME TO COUNTRY, SMOKING CEREMONY, DANCE PERFORMANCE AND KNOWLEDGE SHARING | We were thrilled to join the second annual Cultural Walk during the Round 14 Cowboys Deadly Choices clash with the Dragons at Queensland Country Bank Stadium. Shout out to the deadly young men from NRL Cowboys House (Cowboys Community Foundation) who also performed and joined us for this event.
CULTURAL DIPLOMACY | Earlier this year, we travelled to Dubai as part of the World Expo. While we are usually the ones welcoming people to country, it was great to experience this when we were welcomed by the local Emirati dancers to Dubai as captured in this video below.

First rehearsals done and dusted! Everyone smashed it and we are excited to get on stage and perform in front of The Dubai Royal family and huge crowds. And we aren't doing it alone, our brothers and dancers, such a deadly line up!!
The spirits and ancestors WILL be present.

Thank you to the Emirates Dancers who we got to meet and be Welcomed by early this morning to share and capture some amazing moments.
The rest of the day was spent in rehearsals and getting the opportunity to explore and settle into Expo 2020.
Show time tomorrow with a full day of shows, keen and ready to go ๐ช๐พ.

After 14 and half hours of flying we have landed in Dubai in one peace.
Picking our luggage up and then straight to rehearsals. Grind don't stop!
It has been a massive week planning and organising, huge day 13 hours at brisbane international airport waiting now we are finally on our way, big opportunity! can't wait to smash it.
Dubai here we come!
