This case highlights the importance of having due diligence in response and undertaking a fair and just workplace investigation and decision making process when attending to complaints about serious workplace issues.
Last week a senior radiologist was awarded $368,000 after being wrongfully dismissed by I-Med Central Queensland. The company terminated him without notice in May 2022, citing bullying and sexual harassment allegations. However, the NSW Supreme Court found that while the employee's occasional rudeness may have impacted a colleague, his behaviour did not rise to the level of bullying or serious misconduct.

Last week was monumental for us at Active HR! We were thrilled to dive into professional development and networking at the Townsville Chamber of Commerce's Raising Regions conference and the Business of the Year Awards.
On Friday, Shan and I had the incredible opportunity to speak at the conference, where we tackled the hot topic of 'quiet quitting'โa trend that's impacting Australian businesses. We explored how enhancing team dynamics can drive employee engagement, fuel growth, boost productivity, and elevate customer experience.
