Good morning everyone. Another beautiful day in paradise. Got to walk my daughter to school this morning, doubling taking Mac a walk. A nice walk along The Strand (prominade) as the sun starts its day. A fantastic time of year in the tropics as humidity is decreasing so making our 30 days feel fresh. The council always doing a tremendous job of keeping The Strand clean and our beaches ready for the new day.

Don’t you just love your work. Following my sons junior camp program held at Kangaroo Valley NSW, and after dropping off the family at Sydney Airport to fly home, me and the blue fella are driving home visiting our great customers on the way home.

Many long days driving, puncture in Tamworth (only a coincidence it is also the Tamworth County Music Festival) 2 screws later back on the road , and all the while meeting wonderful people I am now at Leslie Dam Tourist Camp Site. Just West of Warwick. I treated myself to an earlier finish today to charge up. Finished meeting at 1200hrs and was set up by 1400hrs.

What a beautiful spot. Mac swam in the Dam. Like a childs first steps, the little fella was off paddling. Proud moment but not as proud when I was at Layne’s passing out parade.

A busy schedule lies ahead all the while being updated about the cyclone soon to land at Townsville. I know my family will be ok being cyclone safe. I might get stranded out bush with floods? As long as i have beer in the fridge alls good.

Happy New Year everyone!! I’m currently away in NSW with my family. It’s certainly the weather for a Scotsmen that’s for sure!

Today is a down day to relax a little and catch up on some emails and phone calls.

It’s certainly a different world when we can work no matter where we are!

This afternoon, I had my first shoot of the year with this gorgeous family. Paul is the brother of one of my gorgeous friends Vicky. He had his family all together in one place this weekend so we spent time together this afternoon capturing that memory.

It was awfully hot, however, the laughter and the frivolity was just beautiful!! It was so nice to be around a family that laughed and teased each other with much banter filled with love. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to them all (even if there were too many Johns 🤣)

I always love to see "signs" and "serendipity" and so I'm taking this lovely afternoon spent with this lovely family as a clear indicator that this year will be a hoot at Beyond the Spectrum Photography

Can you believe the first week of January is over? Just like that, we’re off and rolling into 2024.

I just love the first week of January when there’s more space and less noise to slowly step into things. The new year feels full of promise with the introduction of a new member to your team........... 'AI'.

Well, hi there Everyone what a year it's been. I'm sure, like many people, this year has been fraught with lots of personal and professional challenges; cashflow, staffing levels, skill shortage, rate increases, processes taking longer to complete, more paperwork to administer, and the list can go on. What does all that mean? Well, we can sit back and look to portion blame, or we take control and position our personal and professional goals to grow in this world we find ourselves. Who are you going to Be?

In support to what I am going to talk about, I recently heard two very poignant quotes. One being "Why fix it if it isn't broken" and the other being "swapping the word 'change' over to 'innovative'".

If we explore the first quote, "Why fix it if it isn't broken"? This can all be well and good by sitting back with the perception nothing needs to be done because we don't have a problem. Well, here's a heads-up, problems could present themselves through your current setup, although once reliable your current setup might be better placed in a world that no longer exists?

The second quote I mentioned is "swapping the word change over to innovative". What do I mean by this? Well simply put, we automatically have aversion and pushback to change? Change can be scary but being innovative feels more positive. It makes talking about change easier, it flips your brain into more of a problem-solving mode?

When was the last time you took a look at getting your business fit? When was the last time you reviewed your business practices and processes? What pain points do you have? Are you even aware of your business pain points? What time-consuming internal procedures can be costly to your bottom line?

School holidays are done and dusted. We are in the last term of school, drawing a close to another year. So much has happened this year, DocuSolve Pty Ltd is ever organic and moving and changing working closely and enjoyably with AAA Consulting, and even more exciting things coming in the near future.

I did have some time away over the school holidays and had a daddy-daughter camping experience in Airlie Beach. Long walks on the beach with Mac, Marshmallows, board games, movies at night time, and the markets. A little getaway to recharge the batteries, just what the doctor ordered 👏

Wow! Sometimes the world spins around like crazy!

We’ve had holidays, business trips with AAA Consulting meeting some wonderful clients with the great company of Ashley Evans. Kids school functions, a trip back to Scotland to see family and grieve the loss of a wonderful human being and now back home trying to centre myself again.

Besides a child’s broken arm 🤦‍♀️ all is well and I’ve been up early walking our boy Mac.

It’s been a week mixed with work and pleasure and today is a magnificent day to spend on Magnetic Island that’s for certain. A well deserved break with some of the lads. Great friendships of old. We are just missing Ash!! We’ve been partying it up until the wee hours of the night 🤣 well, maybe not the wee hours 😇

I had my little mate Mac on my trip to the Burdekin today to see Billy and Steph. Mac was handing out kisses left right and centre 🐾

We're back! All systems go for Ashley Evans and I, raring to go! Just working out where AAA Consulting will head too next!!

Big trip home today after saying goodbye to Harry from Colorado Station! We’ve had a great time away Ashley Evans and I, meeting up with people from our rural farming communities. Brilliant, warm and welcoming people. It’s been a real treat!
