XR Ford Falcons on the production line at the Ford Broadmeadows assembly plant in Campbellfield, Victoria Australia. In 1967 the first Australian built Fairlane rolled off the production line, and Ford invested 2 million dollars for extensions to it's Eagle Farm plant in Brisbane, Queensland. The XR model also saw the introduction of V8 to the Aussie Falcon, and also received the Wheels Car Of The Year award in 1966.
90,810 XR Ford Falcons were produced between September 1966 till March 1968. (including the XR GT Falcon)

XW Ford Falcons on the production line at the Ford Broadmeadows assembly plant in Campbellfield Victoria, Australia in 1970. This process is known as the pretreatment or dipping of the body shell before moving on to the painting stage of the assembly line. In the same year the XW Ford Falcon GTHO Phase II with the Cleveland 5.8 Litre 351ci V8 was introduced and the 30,000th completely knocked down (CKD) vehicle exported.

The HK Holden range was launched in January 1968 and was wider, longer and lower than any previous Holden. New model names also made a debut which included the Belmont, Kingswood and Monaro. The V8 also made it's introduction on HK model along with Holden's first two-door coupe and the Brougham, Holden's first attempt at large luxury model.

XE Ford Falcons on the production line at the Broadmeadows assembly plant in Campbellfield, Victoria Australia in 1983. The XE model saw the introduction of the rear Watts Linkage, but the 4.9 Litre 302ci and 5.8 Litre 351ci V8s were eventually phased out. The electronically fuel injected 4.1 Litre 250ci six was introduced in the first half of 1983.

HQ Holdens on the production at the Holden Dandenong assembly plant in Victoria, Australia. Launched in July 1971 the HQ Holden was the first ground up redesigned Holden since the 1948 Holden 48-215 was released, which Included a new body, chassis and suspension. Holden exported 24,372 vehicles to 73 Territories with a large portion being CKD packs in 1971. (completely knocked down)

The last Valiant produced a CM Chrysler Valiant came off the Tonsley Park production line in South Australia in 1981.
The CM Valiant was the final Chrysler Valiant manufactured in Australia and on August 28th, 1981 the white CM automatic sedan was Valiant number 565,338. Mitsubishi took over Chrysler Australia in 1980, buying 99% of the equity in the company and the Chrysler name was dropped in October 1980.
The Holden Design Studio in 1970 featuring a part clay prototype of HQ Holden Monaro, HG Monaro, Convertible sketches and various interior designs.
The Australian made Holden Red six cylinder engine being assembled at Holden's Fishermans Bend engine assembly plant in Port Melbourne, Victoria. The Holden Red motor as it was known was released in August 1963 with the EH Holden model and ceased production in March 1980 with the HZ Holden, VB Commodore and UC Torana. Over the years engine capacities ranged from the 2.25 Litre 138ci, 2.45 Litre 149ci, 2.65 Litre 161ci, 2.85 Litre 173ci ,2.95 Litre 179ci, 3.05 Litre 186ci and the 3.3 Litre 202ci. The motor also went through mechanical changes into the 1980's when it changed to the Blue motor in the VC-VH Commodore and the WB Holden commercial range. Then the Black motor in it's final stages when it was fuel injected and computer controlled spark timing (EST) was introduced on the VK Commodore in 1984. The engine would then be eventually phased out in late 1985.
