Congratulations to Russ Taylor and Shane Jones who yesterday qualified for the state over 40’s pairs finals. To be held at Yamba bowling club on the 26th/27th October.

Tim Cavanough and John Hills reached the Quarters in the NSW Champs of Champs Pairs, but unfortunately lost 13-21 to Ettalong. Kudos to the Cougars for their great effort!

Australia Day Handicap Triples was a huge success . Well done to all Cougars for their support.

Congratulations to Eric Johannes for his victory in the club Major Singles . It was one of the best Major Singles at the club for many years with over 60 entries and very competitive matches throughout the competition. Both semi-finals were tight matches with Eric prevailing over Jarrod Beckford in a cliffhanger 25-22 and Carl Morgan defeating Peter McCauley 25 -23 .That left Carl and Eric to fight out the final with Eric prevailing 25-14 . Thanks to all our bowlers for participation in the event and we look forward to a successful upcoming Pennant season.

Congratulations to John Green & Eric Johannes in the Senior Zone Pairs and Jake Chapman & Danyon Christie in the Zone Open Pairs for their great wins over the weekend. It's another great result on top of the Senior Triples Eric & John won last month, and a fitting reward for Danyon and Jake against class opposition in the Zone Pairs. Congratulations also to Carl Morgan & Shane Jones for making the Quarters in the Zone Pairs and Ken Hunt & Paul Sweeny for making the Quarters of the Senior Pairs. Go the Cougars in the fours at the end of this month.

The NSW Deaf Singles has been played at Halekulani bowling club , with our Trent McMillan winning it for the second year in a row. What a great achievement . Congratulations you're are a star and we,the Cougars are super proud off you.
