Our Week 7 message from SWAP IT.
Can you spot our featured artists?
Can you spot our dancers?
Enjoy a wonderful Sunday opening some special gifts picked out by your children from our P&C run Father's Day stall.
One hugely successful show down and three to go for our talented featured artists, singing at Southern Stars. Madeleine and Serena were selected as two of only seven primary-aged students out of all those who auditioned and have attended over 45 hours of rehearsals in the lead up to these shows. We are immensely proud of you both for your dedication, application and talent. We wish you the best of luck. UPS will be looking out for you from the audience tonight!
Our first Smart Start session was a huge success. Thank you to all the staff, children and families for coming along and making it happen. It was really exciting for us to be able to connect with so many families in the local community, regardless of whether they're enrolled at UPS for next year or not.
Best of luck to our talented students performing as Yanggaa Garaba at Southern Stars today and tomorrow and a huge thank you to Mrs Elston for supporting the ensemble. We're so proud of you all.
Just a friendly reminder to bring your money for the Father's Day stall tomorrow and a bag to take gifts home in. All gifts are $5 each.
Week 6 - Where in the world is Mr Hosler?
Here are some helpful ideas from SWAP IT as we head into Week 6.
Congratulations to Lola and Emily on their huge effort this week competing in the NSW Premier's Spelling Bee Regional Finals. You both did a-m-a-z-i-n-g-l-y and it was lovely to see the peer support from Khatiya.
We've got our annual P&C Spell-a-thon fundraiser coming up soon, so watch out sponsors when you see these two super spellers coming your way!
It was such a beautiful day for Stage 1 on Wednesday who enjoyed being able learn all about different habitats and how people use different environments on their excursion to Stanwell Park Beach Reserve. They were very excited at this point to start making their beach habitats. Thank you to Miss Photiou, and the Stage 1 teachers and SLSOs for their organisation of the excursion.
Our P&C morning tea has kicked off this morning but there’s still plenty of snacks, tea and coffee for more so come on down! It’s a great opportunity to catch up, connect and get involved.
Today we got to celebrate Mrs Martinoski’s 20th year of service with the NSW Department of Education. She is an extremely valued member of staff and appreciated by us all. She was presented with a framed collection of words used by the staff and students to describe her which included gentle, helpful, nurse, doctor, welcoming and so much more. Thank you Mrs Martinoski for everything you do every day for our school.
