your body is one unit, something like a small universe. Internal organs links to the outer organs, which is controlled in the brain. The condition of your body is monitored in the brain, vice versa. So, Migraine can be said simply it is a circulation issue. Some body fluid is congested or cell communication is not properly happening, then the next system is blocked and the system is not working properly. If migraine is occurring more often, already some physical changes/obstruction may be taking place, which is not good. Try acupuncture which can make a good stimulation for cell communication throughout the body. Taking a painkiller for too long is not a good idea.
Brain Fluid Dynamics Underpin Painful Migraine Headaches New research has shown that proteins released from the brain during migraine with aura are carried to pain-signaling nerves via the cerebrospinal fluid.

Why Acupuncture Is Going Mainstream in Medicine ? - Time
Acupuncture is getting popoular in Western socity as it is working for pain and many other conditions.
However, acupucture is not just pocking needles on where pain is, like dry needling. Its treatment is based on a right diagnosis after a thorough wholistic body assessment. Traditional Medicine so has been one of mainstreams in many of Asian countries.
Time has highlighted the effects of acupuncture in thsi article. It is worth reading!

Why Acupuncture Is Going Mainstream in Medicine Here's what research says about the complementary therapy
Long covid?
Still I see many people experience a long COVID syndrome, such symptoms as lethargic, foggy head, loss of appetite, loss of smell or tastes, sore body, bloated/discomfort in the Stomach, IBS, no motivation, headache, scratch sore throat, chills and fever alternatively. Etc.
The symptoms you experience vary, actually it depends on your individual body condition. Traditional Medicine sees ‘your individual body energy’ when treating a health problem. So everybody is born differently, having their own weakness and strength. So it is called ‘ constitution’ in TM. Your body can be even weaker if you lead a wrong lifestyle anyway.
Some people can have sore throat, others have more runny and blocked nose. Some people have severe body aches, but other have headache. TM tries to figure it out ‘what causes’ each symptom, by understanding your body energy. The theory has been developed over 3000 years, the effects of acupuncture is proven, and the experiment of TM herbs on human body has been well recorded in the long history.
If you have some lingering symptoms more than a month, your body system is out of the balance and it needs some help. First of all, you need to take a look your guts health first to improve your immune. And, your sleep pattern and your diet. Traditional medicine has beautiful natural herb to support your gut health (most of them are roots). Also acupuncture help to balance your internal energy by increasing blood circulation.
Do not leave too long. The earlier the quicker, the longer the deeper and the worse.
[Electroacupuncture to Increase Neuronal Stem Cell Growth]
: The goal of this study is to determine whether acupuncture and electro-acupuncture (EA) can affect the growth of neuronal cells.
: Acupuncture and EA result in significant changes in the expression of genes implicated as
markers for neural stem cells, neural cell development, and neurons. This may, therefore, provide a novel
avenue for developing treatments in patients suffering from intestinal a ganglionic and neuro-pathic diseases.'

As we are able to detect more cell metabolism related factors, such as nestin, the effect of acupuncture is better proven. This research shows that stem cells and cell regeneration related molecules of brain injured rats are increasing significantly after acupuncture, compared to the controlled rats.
I hope more medical scientists get to know about acupuncture.
'... Conclusions
Acupuncture can significantly increase the number of nestin-positive cells, NF-200-positive cells and GFAP-positive cells, indicating the significant increase of neural stem cells, neurons and astrocytes in number. Acupuncture can improve neuranagenesis by promoting the proliferation and differentiation of neural stem cells in brain tissues....'

If you are worry about your immunity and possible side effects of COVID 19 - vaccination , try traditional herbs first to support your immune system.
There are many many researches have been showing traditional herbal medicine can help our immune system work better, not just increasing immune cells, but also regulating and modulating them (Just link one article here: https://scienceon.kisti.re.kr/srch/selectPORSrchArticle.do?cn=JAKO200417140923588&dbt=NART ) .
Traditional herbs have been used for more than 3000 years, its effects and experiments on human has been done over the time.
Since last year many researches have been showing that COVID-19 patients have had better treatment results when they had hospital treatment together with traditional herbs.
I will link one of article here : Chinese herbal medicine for coronavirus disease 2019: A systematic review and meta-analysis
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32622723/.
(Most of data have collected in China. They collect the data in order to control nation-wide health issue properly and cost-effectively under the government authority , not for any interests group. So it is worth to review.)
The results : '..CHM group has improvements in several clinical parameters including lung CT, clinical cure rate, ranging from mild to critical cases, length of hospital stay, total score of clinical symptoms, fever reduction time, symptom score of fever, number of cough reduction cases, symptom score of cough, number of fatigue reduction cases, symptom score of fatigue, disappearing time of fatigue, TCM syndrome, viral nucleic acid testing, and inflammatory biomarkers (C-reactive protein). Besides, no severe adverse effects was identified by CHM. CHM, especially classical Chinese herbal formulas, could be used as potential candidates for COVID-19 in this battle.'
In my practise, my regular patients has been taking Covid 19-vaccination after taking acupuncture and herbal medicine since Mar 2021 . They are over 60s or 70s. One of patients in his 70s who has been taking herbs for years as his own complicated health issues(pneumonia, cough, diabetes, HBP, Kideny & bladder issues, back pain etc), he did not even have arm-ache on injection-site. Another patient came after 1st AZ vaccination because some symptoms developed and were getting worse and worse for the first three days's time. After taking a formula which was prescribed for her own conditions, she recovered in a week time. Recently one of patients in late 60s who has a history of insect allergy, pneumonia, blurred vision, and currently has leg aches and varicose veins decided to take 1st AZ with anxiousness. He has been taking herbs occisionally, but he took a few weeks of herbs just before 1st vaccination. He is waiting the 2nd one.
Medical scientist said that TTS (thrombosis with thrombocytopen*s syndrome) occurs very rarely, maybe 1~2 in 100, 1000. However, whatever minor side effects you may have or not is dependent on your health conditions. If we isolate some people in an island, give them extream stress and load of physical work, do not let them sleep , only give junk foods and no vegi for a few month, I AM SURE, the incidence rate of TTS will rise.
If you had/have some problems before/now, such as skin allergy, allergic to antibiotic/allergic to insect bite, body stiffness/swelling, puffy face/eyes easily, catching a cold easily, a history of asthma/pneumonia, tired more recently/insomnia, indigestion often, IBS .. etc, it would be better to be careful with taking vaccination from Traditional medicine view. You try to lead a healty life style at least for two weeks, and the have a vaccination. To have a better immunity : 1. good sleep, 2. healthy diet, 3.work out your daily stress, 4. moderate exercise, 5. do not over-work. 6. contact me if you do not know what to do with your health conditions.
Chinese herbal medicine for coronavirus disease 2019: A systematic review and meta-analysis - PubMed Currently, coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), which can lead to severe respiratory failure and death, is now a global pandemic with no specific anti-viral drugs or vaccines. However, It is worth noting that traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), especially Chinese herbal medicine (CHM), has been wide...
The main cause of dementia is simply the bodily wastes and toxin(ex. amyloid plaque) which kill normal brain cells over time, decrease blood circulation, and disturb normal functions of the brain.
Then, where are these wastes coming from? The wastes (bodily wastes, dead cells which uncleaned, broken protein debris, useless molecules which not dissolved properly by your immune system, oxidized molecules(toxin), etc ) are accumulating over time ;
1. when your guts are not good (bad bacteria reside there, so non selective absorption, highly inflammable gut linings)
2. when your circulation is not good (blood flow from heart to tissues/organ to the lymphatic to venous system), the wastes can be congested and cause blockage the energy flow, Qi
3. when your sleep is not good( sleeping is very important for your body to clean your body wastes, regenerate the new tissues).
Herbal medicine can help to clean the bodily wastes(Dampness) by dissolving wastes and supporting your guts, increase the quality of your blood and the circulation of blood, and have a better sleep.
Many researches have been presenting the evidence of the effects of herbal medicine: The effect of Dangui-Jakyak-San on the cognitive performances in mice( 당귀작약산이 백서의 인지기능에 미치는 영향. 2010. http://www.riss.kr/search/detail/DetailView.do?p_mat_type=be54d9b8bc7cdb09&control_no=519f5acc4418f178ffe0bdc3ef48d419&outLink=K ) showed that Dangui-Jakyak-San( 당귀작약산. one of formulae for blood circulation and generation ) increased the expression and neurogenesis of 'brain-derived neurotrophic factor' (BDNF is decreased when the brine shrinks. This change occurs with aging or even noticed in those who are depressed).
If you notice your memory is getting worse badly recently, it is better to start to do something from now on. You will need a small dose of long term maintenance (ex. a week of herbs every month over time). Treatment plan depend on your conditions .
