The workshop on "Industrial Automation Engineering" sponsored by Ulterior Engineering Intl. and organized by Electronics Club of UGV of Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering successfully concluded on 30th January, 2024
This workshop focused on industrial automation systems and renewable solar energy. The workshop provided invaluable insights into the latest advancements in automation and sustainable energy solutions.
Attended the workshop as Keynote Speaker: Engr. Sheikh Rafat Bin Ali (CEO & Founder, Ulterior Engineering), Engr. Ibrahim Jonaed Jarir(Chief Operating Officer, Ulteriror Engineering) & Engr. Zahroul Haque Miah. Attended the workshop as the chief guest: Engr. A.H.M Delwar Haidar (Dean, Faculty of Engineering department of EEE), as chairperson: Dr. Golam Saleh Ahmed Salem (Head of Department, Dept. Of EEE) and students of all EEE departments were also present.
Through engaging sessions and hands-on activities, participants gained practical knowledge, fostering a deeper understanding of industrial processes and renewable energy integration. This experience not only enhanced students skills but also equipped their with the tools to contribute effectively to the evolving landscape of industrial automation and sustainable energy practices.

গ্রামীণফোন ও স্টার্টআপ বাংলাদেশ লিমিটেড এর উদ্যোগে এবং Electronics Club Of UGV এর সহযোগিতায় University of Global Village (UGV) তে আয়োজিত হচ্ছে 'জেলায় জেলায় স্মার্ট উদ্যোক্তা' শীর্ষক শিরোনামের একটি ইনফো-সেশন।

জিপি এক্সেলারেটর প্রোগ্রামটি হলো বাংলাদেশের উদ্যোক্তাদের জন্য নিজেদের স্টার্টআপ তুলে ধরার অন্যতম একটি প্লাটফর্ম। ২০১৫ সালে প্রতিষ্ঠিত এই প্রোগ্রামটি ৬টি ব্যাচ প্রদান করে, যা ৪৪টি স্টার্টআপকে পরামর্শ দেওয়ার মাধ্যমে সাহায্য করে। Sheba.xyz, Barikoi, Dhaka Cast, Doctorkoi এবং Cram Stack এসব স্টার্টআপ এই মেন্টরশিপের সুযোগের অভিজ্ঞতা অর্জন করে এবং নিজেদের স্টার্টআপ তুলে ধরেন।

“জেলায় জেলায় স্মার্ট উদ্যোক্তা” শীর্ষক এই ভিন্নধর্মী আয়োজন মূলত আঞ্চলিক পর্যায়ে বিভিন্ন চ্যালেঞ্জের মোকাবেলা ও স্থানীয়ভাবে নানা সমস্যা সমাধানে উদ্ভাবনী উদ্যোগ গ্রহণ এবং উদ্যোক্তাদের উৎসাহিত করবে। ৩০ জন কমিউনিটি বিল্ডারের সমন্বয়ে এবং দেশের ২০টি অঞ্চলে পিচ সেশনের মাধ্যমে সেরা ২০ জন ‘আইডিয়াপ্রেনার’ খুঁজে বের করা হবে। আঞ্চলিক পর্যায়ের জন্য এটা হতে পারে উদ্যোক্তাদের জন্য একটা সেরা প্লাটফর্ম। এটি হচ্ছে মূলত রিজিওনাল ডিজাইন বুটক্যাম্প।

Distinguished guest, the Honorable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Abdul Baqee, attended the splendid farewell organized by the EEE department at UGV, Barishal. We paid our respects to the Vice Chancellor, presenting him with beautiful flowers & Crest of Honor, and the Proctor of UGV and Assis. The registrar (HR & Admin) also received floral tributes. Sincere appreciation to the more than two hundred EEE students who assisted in the formation of these invaluable memories. With elegance and sophistication, our esteemed head of Department presided over the event. In attendance were dignitaries such as Proctor & head of the Department of English, the head of Business Administration, the head of Mathematics, and Assistant Registrar (HR & Admin). Extremely grateful are the numerous faculty members from different disciplines who adorned the occasion with their unique sensibilities. One student from each semester achieved Certificates & Prize money for securing the first position among EEE in PBL Projects Exhibition. Additionally, two students from each semester were honored as the Student of the Year 2023 with Medals. The outgoing committee members of the Electronics Club, UGV, were celebrated with Crests for their remarkable contributions. A final touch of recognition was extended to all students from the Winter 2020 session who received Crests, marking the end of their academic journey at UGV. The Program ended with a culture Session. Dr. Saleh Ahmed Salem, who presided over the event, ensured a seamless transition for the heartfelt farewells and favorable aspirations for achievement.

Project Exhibition of Summer 2023
A day-long Project Exhibition Fair of Summer 2023 at the University of Global Village was held on 7th November 2023. Students of the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, under the guidance of dedicated faculty members, have showcased innovative and impactful projects in the field of Electrical & Electronics Engineering. The event provided a platform for students to exhibit their skills, collaborate with peers, and receive recognition for their outstanding projects. PBL was a testament to the university's commitment to fostering innovation and encouraging students to explore their potential.

The event featured around 17 projects, each demonstrating the creativity and dedication of the students. The diverse range of projects exhibited at the event showcased the university's vibrant academic community and its dedication to nurturing talent and knowledge among its students. Witnessing the excitement and passion of our students to present their projects was a great joy for all of us.

We offer our heartfelt gratitude to our Honorable Chairman of Board of Trustees Dr. Md. Imran Chowdhury, Honorable Vice-Chancellor Dr. Abdul Baqee, Honorable Treasurer Prof. Dr. Syed Ali Molla and Honorable Registrar Md. Lokman Khan for gracing this program with their valuable presence and inspiring the students to strive for greater achievements in their future endeavors.

This workshop is designed from basic to advanced level where all students of different semesters can catch up the idea of simulation. To visualize what's happening inside a circuit and how to make different circuits to perform different operations, simulation is a great tool through which all the analysis of a circuitry can be done.
Both regular and evening batch students should join in this workshop.

Department of EEE had organized a study tour to a 230 kV substation. All the students from our regular batches joined in this tour to get firsthand practical knowledge of our country's power systems. Substation engineers also shared their valuable experiences with our students, inspiring them to pursue a career in this field. Students greatly appreciated this opportunity and were asking for this kind of visit to be a regular occurrence. Quoting a student, "I am excited to be here. All those years, I had only heard about power generation and distribution systems. I am seeing with my own eyes today. I am grateful to our accompanying faculty members, the department, and the university authority for giving me such an opportunity. This kind of visit should be arranged regularly". We had also shared our enthusiasm for the next visit and they were happy to oblige. Lastly, we had shown our appreciation to substation engineers by handing out the crest and our university scarf. This visit will help our students to succeed in the 'Electrical machines & Power systems' skill course. We are really grateful to the university authority for providing a helping hand to our students to enrich their academic and practical knowledge.

Today was the last working day for 2 of our beloved faculties who had taken study leave from our university. The students came from distant location to bid farewell to them with utter respect and gratitude.

Today, We have organized a discussion session for 2 hours from 11.00am -1.00pm with all of our regular batch(1st to 8th Semester). Our agenda were:

1. What is the importance of skill course? How was our skill course trainer? Why the student's percentage of presence was low? Is there any difficulties learning the skill course? How was the feelings and opinion about skill course and trainer? Is there any things that need to improve in our syllabus and Schedule or anything else?

2. What is the benefits of PBL and clubbing? How a club can make our student successful in job life? How students can be Learn and solve problems in our society throughout the voluntary work and clubbing?

3. How to develop communication skill and importance of networking. How to buildup good senior - junior relationship to attain success in career.

4. Discussed about our next mission : Product development, Project competition, Robotics competition, Electronics Club, Industry/Power plant tour etc.

In conclusion, we are trying to develop our student as proper skilled person for industry. We hope this session helped them lot's.

A day long projects show has been successfully done by dept of EEE,UGV. I would like to thank all of our faculty and students to make it successful.

University Of Global Village (UGV), Barishal is the first skill-based Bangladesh government & UGC-approved University in the southern part of Bangladesh. This University offers skill-based courses to undergrad students making them skilled and successful in the job market. This project was developed under the robotics & AI skill course. This university hires an industry expert for each course and the course outline was collaboratively developed by the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering(EEE) and industry experts.
