মাঝেমাঝে জীবন থেকে প্রবলভাবে বিশ্রাম নিতে মন চায়,
ইচ্ছা করে জড় পদার্থের মত থাকতে।
ইচ্ছা করে জীবন থেকে পালিয়ে বেড়াই,
যেখান থেকে আর ফিরে আসা সম্ভব নয়,
ঠিক সেই সময় কেউ আফসোস করুক,
কেউবা একটুখানি চোখের জল ফেলুক
কেউবা প্রচন্ডভাবে মনে করুক, এই পালিয়ে বেড়ানো মানবরূপী মুসাফিরটাকে।
কখনো যদি সেই পথিক ফিরেও আসে,
হয়তোবা তখন কিছুটা তৃপ্তি
তবে মৃতরা কখনো আসবে না।
সব কেমন যেন কালো আধারের
মাঝামাঝি অবস্থা,
অথবা সাগরের বিশাল জলরাশির
নীলের মতই।
তবে মৃত্যুর পর কী আসলেই বিশ্রাম মিলবে?
এই পথিক তো বিশ্রাম চায়!
