Deśha
Deśha is an online platform exclusively catering to women entrepreneurs to sell authentic handmade products made in Bangladesh.
The word Deśha is derived from a Sanskrit word which means “land” or “country”. The entrepreneurs are working with the local artisans to produce diversified products.
The aspiration - to encourage good craftsmanship in supporting the communities, especially the women artisans that continue the traditions of a country. In Bangladesh, the local artisans have to endure many obstacles to sell their handmade products. Lack of financing, promotion, and technology; are the obstacles that stand in their way of success. But with the exposure provided by Deśha, the women entrepreneurs will be able to sell their products and earn more which in turn encourages them to produce more local products. In the end, it’s our heritage that's kept alive.
Deśha entrepreneurs are the heroes of today. They are preserving the authentic culture of Bangladeshi products. Their dedication, talents, and relentless efforts define Deśha.
