Last Friday, on the 22nd of September, the Freshman Debate Competition (English) set the stage on fire with its electrifying debates in the British Parliamentary format.

After an intense day of intellectual battles and unforgettable moments, four exceptional teams made it to the final showdown. In the end, emerging as the true champions, it was none other than Team Winner Winner Chicken Dinner! The incredible Team Electron claimed the title of first runner-up, and Team Demon Slayer secured the well-deserved second runner-up position. A special shoutout goes to Fardin Al Shafik, who soared high as the top-breaking speaker of this tournament!

To all the participants, winners, and all those who dare to step into the debating arena, we extend our heartiest congratulations. Your brilliance knows no bounds, and we can't wait to see you shine even brighter in the days to come. On June 20, 2023, the Debating Forum of IUBAT (DFI) successfully organized a captivating show debate (British parliamentary) between the Josephite Debating Club of St. Joseph Higher Secondary School and the Sagiate Debating Society of Shaheed Bir Uttam Lt. Anwar Girls' College at the esteemed IUBAT—International University of Business Agriculture and Technology venue.

Tonima Zaman Zeba, an Associate Member of DFI, skillfully Adjudicated the debate, adding to its competitive spirit.The respected Coordinator of Sagiate Debating Society was present in the program.

The event was graced by the presence of the Honorable Treasurer and Director Administration of IUBAT Professor Selina Nargis Maa'm as the Chief Guest, and the presence of the Coordinator of the Debating Forum of IUBAT Md. Sadekul Islam Sir, the Advisor of the Debating Forum of IUBAT Md. Forhad Hossain Sir, and Associate Professor and Director of Miyan Research Institute Dr. Sajal Saha as Special Guests, elevated the events prestige.

With the motion "THBT developing nations should pay for their students' education to foreign universities under the condition that they will return to work in their own country," the debate was filled with intellectual exchanges and captivated everyone in attendance.To acknowledge the teams' outstanding performances, the Honorable Treasurer and Director Administration of IUBAT presented each of them with a token of appreciation, concluding the event on a high note. 💌
