Today, the Neurosurgery department is in a festive look for our Honorable Head of the Department of Neurosurgery Associate Professor Dr. Saumitra Sarkar Sir's birthday. The presence and warm wishes of our senior teachers from other departments made the moment an unforgettable one.

The central clinical conference arranged by our department on 16.5.19 was about " A young boy presenting with quadriparesis". It was elegantly presented by Dr. Shuvro Saha with proper direction of our head of the department Associate Professor Dr. Saumitra Sarkar sir. We hope everyone present there enjoyed that beautiful presentation. We appreciate and honour your presence and participation whole-heartedly. Thank you.

Mr. Ohidul, about 30 years old, was admitted in our department as a case of AAD (Atlanto Axial Dislocation) more than 1 year back. He couldn't afford to have a CT cervical spine, with which at least we could have made his relatives know before opening of his neck about his occipitocervical fusion.. Anyway, his discharge was uneventful!..and now he has sent us friend requests in facebook.. and we are very glad to see his selfies!..

The auspicious moment, the department of neurosurgery started its new journey with a separate ward in ShSMCH..

Our Head of the department Associate Professor Dr Saumitra Sarkar sir presented a journal on "The Making of An Excellent Neurosurgeon" in National Scientific Conference arranged by Bangladesh Society of Neurosurgeons. The presentation was praised by all who attended the conference.
