📣 We have some very exciting news… 📣

We are absolutely delighted to reveal we will be creating a community garden in Newtongrange.

We have been given the go-ahead to start growing on the area beside Newtongrange Leisure Centre but we need your help.

Join us on Wednesday 25th January at the Newtongrange Development Trust office from 7:30pm and have your say.

Got to meet the lovely guys from VOCAL Midlothian last week. Andrew and David do phenomenal work with this organisation to help empower and support unpaid carers in Edinburgh and Midlothian through support, information, training and access to services.
Check out this well deserved organisation.

Thanks to the local community of Gorebridge Community Cares and beyond, your spending in Co-Op throughout the year has raised over £6,000 for local groups just like this. Well done👏👏

Such a privellage to recently work with these wonderful, hard working groups. They do such powerful, in behind the scenes work in the community.. By shopping in the CoOp your money goes back into the community to empowering groups like this⚡💛

Our other cause who was missing on the day was VOCAL Midlothian who received £2288.07 of funding from the members shopping at the CoOp in Newtongrange.

Hello..

I am Mary - the new member pioneer for the Co Op store in Newtongrange.

My Job involves supporting the local community and the wonderful groups, causes and charities that are already set up here. Through the Co Op, we offer lots of support and funding for local and national organisations. Just last month we have taken 3 new local organisations on for the year that will receive support and funding from us. I will do a post on each of the during the month.
