Meet George…
Some of you may have already met him…
Exactly 2 years after we had to say goodbye to Billie with a lot of sadness and heartache George crossed our path.
George is a 5 year old French Bulldog who was rescued. Due to his previous owner's addiction, George went astray and lived everywhere and nowhere in unsanitary and unhealthy conditions
Ultimately, the situation was so terrible that George had to live outside in a small cage among his own needs and suffered from malnutrition. George also had to undergo urgent surgery.
Since 2 weeks George is with us now and he can be showered with hugs, attention, love,... . As he had to recover from his surgery and had to adapt to his new environment we kept George away from the hustle and bustle for awhile.
George cannot possibly replace Billie. Billie was unique in every way and so is George now. Billie will be missed just as much and will always hold a special place in our hearts. But we just know that Billie would approve of bringing George into our home and even want us to open up again and to embrace this new furry companion.
As you can see from the photos, George immediately meant business and checked out his bar and even already lend a paw to assist the boss.
For us this was the perfect way to end 2023.
New Year is a wonderful time to reflect on the past and set intentions for the future. It's an opportunity to learn from our triumphs and missteps, to acknowledge our promises both fulfilled and unfulfilled. The adventures we embarked on and the moments we let fear hold us back.
The new year grants us a second chance, a chance to strive for improvement, to give more of ourselves, and to love more deeply. Instead of dwelling on "what if," let's shift our focus to embracing the possibilities of "what would be."
As we start a new year, let's not forget the importance of kindness and respect towards each other. Let us all be more and true compassionate, understanding, and supportive throughout the entire year.
