The main focus of Alexander Tinei's art is the relationship between time and the human body; surroundings and objects rarely play a significant role. On the other hand, time is presented in it's permanence, as bodies removed from their original context always appear in some strange, somber, dreamlike, timeless space.

Destruction has always been an essential part of Alexander Tinei's creative process. The drama and tragedy involved is hidden in the paint or underneath the work. It becomes part of the artwork and grabs hold of the viewer's emotions.
Discover it yourself in Alexander Tinei's current exhibition Orange Offset, until 30 June.

We look back with pleasure on Sunday and the vernissage of Dubbel Focus. Were you unable to attend? No problem, the several masks are still on display until 28 July. Be sure to pop in so you don't miss your chance to add these works to your collection!
The masks are coming off and reveal friendly faces! Discover the diverse and personal interpretation of numerous artists under the Sign Of The Times collective, including our own NQ artists: Francis Henri (Vanhee), Erwin Keustermans, Marc Mulders and Anne Silverstrand Forest.
Vernissage will take place this Sunday 9 June at 16:00!
The vernissage of Dubbel Focus is approaching! During the exhibition, we display several masks that started the same, but through the creative interpretation of the participating artists all ended up in a very different way. This makes this exhibition a wonderful and diverse assemblage that demonstrates the versatility of art, creativity and personality.

In collaboration with the Verwey Museum Haarlem, NQ Gallery is exhibiting a collection of masks from the project SOTT ( Sign Of The Times), an initiative by Frank van der Linden that originated in 2016 when he designed a ceramic mask and invited several artists to rework his basic design to their own liking.
Meanwhile, a number of NQ Gallery artists have been included in the collection: Marc Mulders, Anne Silverstrand Forest, Erwin Keustermans and Francis Henri Vanhee.
The result is an extensive, diverse collection and thus a representation of the contemporary art world, on view at NQ Gallery.
Vernissage Dubbelfocus: Sunday 9 June, 16:00.
Yves Joris sums up Alexander Tinei's exhibition beautifully in his latest article:
"Alexander's latest exhibition offers an in-depth exploration of the relationship between body and time and demonstrates his exceptional ability to transform media images in painterly ways."
Orange Offset is on view until 30 June.
What a collaboration! Natasja Alers and Alfhild Kulper joined forces to create dynamic and fragile works that seem to be in constant motion, exuding gentleness and complexity.
These works are on view until 02.06.2024 in the H.F. Room!

Ronald Zuurmond paints — or rather works with paint, with which he depicts landscapes, still lifes and (self) portraits. Overpainting and “underpainting”, the image making process is continuous. Like an archaeologist of his own work, he searches and exposes underlying layers, in what he calls ‘continuing to rummage’.
Ronald Zuurmond is currently exhibiting several works of various sizes on paper in the H.F. Room where he uses multi-media. Drop by and admire his works now at NQ Gallery.
Orange Offset, Alexander Tinei's exhibition, features drawings of people in their day-to-day lives. The anatomy, but especially the emotion that Tinei reflects in the works, is truly life-like. This results in a strong and engaging exhibition that you should definitely visit.

We look back on Orange Offset's vernissage last Wednesday with both pleasure and fulfilment. Not only was Manfred Sellink's presence an incredible added value, his artist talk with Alexander Tinei was also very interesting.
Orange Offset, an exhibition featuring deep and engaging drawings by Alexander Tinei, is on view until June 30.
Have you marked Wednesday 8 May in your calendar yet? Professor Dr. Manfred Sellink certainly has! The director of the Museum of Fine Arts Ghent will speak at the opening of Alexander Tinei’s new exhibition Orange Offset.
Before working at MSK Gent, Manfred Sellink worked as artistic and general director of Musea Brugge, and until February 2020 he was chief director and chief curator of the KMSKA. We are happy to welcome and listen to Manfred Sellink, Wednesday 8 May from 18:00.

Our gallery does not sit still! We are currently visiting the DOX Museum in Prague in preparation for our new exhibition by Alexander Tinei: Orange Offset. This exhibition will show the pure and raw side of reality, and it will - as strange as it sounds - comfort us. In addition to that, it reflects the true definition of the word ‘offset’: ‘Balancing an influence against an opposing influence so that there is no great difference as a result.’ The cheerful colour palette stands in stark but balanced contrast to the deep background, creating a perfect harmony between all elements.
Alexander will exhibit seventeen drawings as well as four works oil on canvas/cardboard and two linocuts.
