(3/3) It’s been almost 5 years since we finished one of our first FELT projects: A preliminaly school and sports hall in West-Flanders.

Almost finished: Renovation of a midcentury bungalow. By adding a slender tower volume we untangle the circulation knot and bring daylight in the heart of this wonderful single family house.

AS FOUND: Experiments in Preservation focuses on the new relationship between contemporary design and heritage. The scenography by FELT utilises the existing exhibition hall as ‘found architecture’. Floor and ceiling elements are suspended to conceive a new framework in which the objects are presented.

1/3 This wedge shaped extension adds an office and library space to a classic detached single-family house.
The new elongated volume only just touches the front facade, and opens up towards the garden.
The structural frame also act as a support for two built-in bookshelves walls.
