After reviewing the latest statistics, we were able to gain new insights into how to place what type of content where depending on any channel with the best possible results. 📈⁠

Here are some conclusions and tips we drew from the numbers:⁠

- The frontrunner at the moment is videocontent, afterward comes ⁠the carousels and last the single photo content

- If you surround yourself with internet trends and funny challenges you create the perfect environment for new, fresh and authentic influencer generated content

- Influencer generated content is very important as it provides ⁠additional involvement

- After numerous likes and followers, it is important to maintain that community by investing and interact with them

Which KPIs to track when measuring the success of influencer campaigns 📈⁠

Undoubtedly, influencer marketing has been – and still is – booming these last few years. But its success is hard to define compared to other types of marketing. This makes the world of social media metrics and KPIs an overwhelming one to venture into. We’re happy to help you navigate. 🙃⁠

Before starting, you must decide the goal(s) for your campaign – as with any type of marketing. Brand awareness? More traffic to the site? A social boost? It’s essential to know the key objectives of your campaign because then you can narrow down the relevant metrics to track its success and evaluate the strength of your social strategy. You don’t know the impact of your online presence until you have the data to back it up! ✔️⁠

We would advise you to focus on ‘impressions'. ‘Impressions’ stands for the total number of times the campaign’s content was displayed/shown to people. ‘Impressions’ is thus the more meaningful option as it helps you assess how the audience responds to your content. And, more importantly: whether your social strategy is working.⁠

What a great time to be a creator! Because while we can’t be totally positive about everything Facebook – sorry, Meta - does, one thing is for sure: they keep rolling out great features. Their latest update, Instagram Collabs, massively changes the game for branded content. Want to know how to supercharge your engagement? Keep reading! 🧐⁠

We previously wrote about Instagram and their plans for the future, and honestly, they’re killing it. ‘Collabs’ is another incredibly solid and smart update. Similar to Reels, there are truly no cons to this new feature. In fact, it’s a total gamechanger.⁠

What does the ‘Collabs’ feature do? 💬⁠

Obviously, branded content in itself is nothing new - influencers and brands have been collaborating since the beginning of the app. But thanks to this new feature, you can now co-author your joint content.⁠

That’s right, no more double posts or reposts: ‘Collabs’ lets you invite another account to collaborate so that your shared, co-authored content can appear on both profiles simultaneously, with both of your handles appearing above the post.⁠

In the fast-paced world of the internet, great authentic content will always have to be a constant. But how do you consistently ensure that you’re making great content? By sticking to one of the biggest pillars of content creation: authenticity. (Fyi: the other ones are relatability and know-how – two topics you can read up on our hub)⁠

It might’ve become a bit of a buzzword, but don’t underestimate its power. Authenticity makes all the difference between followers and an engaged community and if you commit, it can mean immense growth. Here’s how you can get there.⁠

Strong storytelling 🗣️⁠

Consumers are not online to look for ads, however, they are always looking for stories. Humans are social and emotional creatures who want to feel a connection. They want to follow real, inspiring people and brands with a story to tell, not just a product/service to sell. When building your influencer marketing strategy, always keep the story top of mind.⁠

Working with the right people 👥⁠

Of course, you can’t tell a strong story without especially good storytellers.⁠

Interacting with the audience 💬⁠

What is social media, if not social?⁠

Gone are the days of a social platform like Instagram as a chronological timeline filled with cute pictures. These days, it’s a powerful tool to connect with – and build – audiences like never before.⁠

In truth, there is no way to fake or force authenticity. The tips above will only work if your intentions are in the right place anyway. That is if you want to foster an engaged and supportive community. Good news, because in any case: you’ve come to the right place!⁠

How can I write a good caption every time? 😰⁠

Look at every caption as an opportunity to engage with your audience.⁠

We’re not saying every post should be a witty joke or an emotional explanation – that’s not always relevant -, but we are saying you shouldn’t consider the caption as an afterthought. Your pictures are definitely important, yes, but every post is truly a package deal. 🎁⁠

Luckily, there are some tips to ensure a good caption time after time.⁠

Write in advance: a good way to stay ahead is to write your captions in bulk. When you’re feeling inspired, sit down and start pumping out the captions or at least writing down first drafts. Plan ahead, and you’ll never be at a loss for words. 📅⁠

Grab their attention: your first sentence is the most important. It needs to reel your followers in. Also, captions are shortened on IG, so it’s really all about those first couple of words. No time to dilly-dally, get straight to the point. ✔️⁠

Break it up: insert some white space – especially if you’ve got a lot to say -, it just looks better and cleaner to insert some line breaks. A big block of text will scare off a lot of people.⁠

Use a couple of emoji’s to add color and personality but don’t go overboard. 🤯⁠

Sprinkle some relevant hashtags at the end to boost your discoverability. Go niche with it instead of using the vague go-to terms (like , , etc), because again, it’s all about getting the right people to connect with your content, not just about collecting likes. ⚖️⁠

A good way to double-check if you like your caption is to read it aloud to yourself. Does it sound good? Is it something you would actually say? Make sure you’re always authentic.⁠

Influencer campaigns really succeed when brands trust the creativity of influencers to deliver their key message in a way that will resonate way more with their target consumer, because it will be and thus feel organic, as opposed to overly produced and filtered ad campaigns.⁠

Remember: this is not meant to be that, you want influencers to use their voice. The only one that will make it organic, is the creator. Brand’s minds are often too blurred with budget, results, risks etcetera. Creators? Their focus is on making great content.⁠

The importance of a great briefing 🔥⁠

It is, however, completely understandable that it’s scary to put so much trust in someone outside of your company. Of course, there needs to be a certain level of control. But where?⁠

It’s all in the briefing. Your briefing should be great, nay, amazing. Amazingly specific. Pour it all in there and then… let go, trusting that you chose a good creator and that they will take your wishes to heart.⁠

We’ve seen it happen too often: brands giving influencers vague, open briefings, ending on a ‘you know better what to do, we trust you’, only to come back afterwards – when all of the time has been put in and the content has been made – with tons of critique and feedback.⁠

Adjusting content is ok, reshooting it is not. A good briefing is essential.⁠

Another way you can stay on top of things a bit more, is when you create an open and transparent line of communication. When you treat them with the respect they deserve, and the influencer feels comfortable, they will be way more likely to involve you more.⁠

Open communication, mutual respect and an amazing briefing: that is how great content gets made. 🗣️👥💙⁠

Dear all, when working with influencers collaborate, don’t dictate!⁠

Great content is made up out of multiple components. Sure, it’s often consumed in a matter of minutes – or even seconds -, but behind the scenes it can easily take hours. Content as a result of influencer marketing is no different, especially if the process doesn’t exactly go smoothly. Oftentimes, believe it or not, the disruptive factor is… the brand itself. Allow us to explain.⁠

To be completely fair, it already starts with the definition of content creation. In the eyes of a brand, it means something completely different. They’re looking at it in terms of ROI and KPI, focusing on how much it aligns with the brand’s style and whether it resonates with their target audience. For a brand, it’s not as much about the pure content itself, more so the results.⁠

For influencers, on the other hand, it’s all about the creative process and how to make the most amazing and engaging content for their followers. Period. Of course, they want brands to be happy with the content they produce, but in truth, the quality of the content will – and should – always come first.⁠

That is why the best content happens when brands and influencers are on the same page. When brands are open to collaborating, rather than dictating. Yes, read that again. Collaborate > dictate.⁠
