Omdat het kan! Building and supporting a community is a big part of what we do. It allows us to break boundaries and grow beyond cycling, bringing like-minded people together and creating great memories.

And then just like that, we opened a new shop.

Five years ago, on this exact day and date, Bataia Ghent opened its doors for the first time. Little did we know we would embark on such an epic journey.

Cycling has always been a part of us and who we are. The sheer excitement of riding bikes merged with an unconditionnal passion for racing and meeting new people. Bataia is nothing less than the expression of this lifestyle.

The rollercoaster of running a business has taken us to a lot of places but one thing remained: the belief that we are working on something much bigger than us.

Together with a team of dedicated people, we finally pulled yet another challenge: the opening of our second shop, in the heart of racing, the mecca of cycling: the beautiful city of Oudenaarde.

A milestone on our timeline, a great way to celebrate five years of achievment and dedication, one that inspires excitement for the future.

Na het succes van vorig jaar, waar we meer dan 185 kg aan gebruikte fietskledij hebben verzameld, zijn we verheugd om onze hernieuwde samenwerking met Kringwinkel Ateljee aan te kondigen.

Toegewijd om een circulaire economie binnen de fietsgemeenschap te bevorderen, willen we het cliché dat fietskleding na slechts één seizoen als verouderd beschouwd wordt aanvechten. Wat voor jou overbodig lijkt, kan voor iemand anders van grote waarde zijn! Daarom slaan Bataia en Kringwinkel Ateljee opnieuw de handen in elkaar om nieuw leven in jouw oude fietskledij te blazen en ervoor zorgen dat ze een hoger doel dienen.

Heb je fietskleding of accessoires die je niet meer gebruikt? Bezoek ons bij Bataia, lever je nog steeds bruikbare uitrusting en materiaal in en maak niet alleen kans op een nieuwe Bataia Brigade wielerkit, maar draag ook bij aan de lokale circulaire economie. Kringwinkel Ateljee zal zich met overgave inzetten om de levensduur van je uitrusting te verlengen, werkgelegenheid te creëren voor kwetsbare groepen in de samenleving, afval te verminderen en duurzaamheid als een geheel te bevorderen.
