Artificial Intelligence 🤝 Tandheelkunde
Geen match die je onmiddellijk zou maken, maar KU Leuven ven start-up Relu maakte het meer dan waar.
Wat begon met het voorspellen of wijsheidstanden zouden uitkomen aan de hand van 2D AI op panoramische X-rays, groeide al snel uit tot het ontwikkelen van een virtuele (duplicaat) patiënt voor allerlei tandheelkundige toepassingen.
Onder leiding van Holger Willems, Andriaan Van Gerven, Thomas Beznik & Antoine Coppens, vier alumni burgerlijk ingenieur, groeide Relu ondertussen uit tot een bedrijf van meer dan 15 personen.

🧐 According to the latest study on the maxillofacial complex published by the Journal of Dentistry, our AI was able to segment the maxillofacial complex in 39.1 second while manual segmentation takes 132.7 minutes!
